Morris Flooring

Just wanted to give a GIANT shout out to the Morris Flooring crews who worked on our floors. They were ALL exceptional, courteous, honest, thorough, kind, clean, professional, patient, hard workers and great to work with. We can’t say enough of the service this company has given us throughout this project. The attention to detail was outstanding. Our floors are stunning.

It's hard finding a reasonably-priced contractor who does what they say they will do , and show up to do it. But we've used Morris Flooring twice now, and both times have been nothing by satisfied. We had carpet replaced on the stairs a few years ago, and recently had the carpet in the basement replaced, and LVP put down in another room. They show up to their estimate appointments, are up front about scheduling, and install when they say they are going to. With all contractors there are little nicks or touchups that need to happen, (it IS construction after all), but with Morris Flooring, I spend less time doing those little repairs than I have with most other contractors. The installers are respectful, clean up after themselves, and do a good job.

Morris Floor did a pretty good job with our floors - with some big caveats. Our house has 2 levels of hardwood floors and we were having them sanded and re-finished for a fresh look before moving in. Scheduling was a little bit of a pain (they initially insisted they only start new jobs on Mondays, but after being told our project would take about 7 business days, I finally convinced them to start on a Thursday so we can wrap up the following week), but the first day of the work things took an unexpected turn. On the first day of work, they removed the sink and toilet from the powder room to clear that floor for the work, but didn't realize until the following morning that they nicked a water line and the water then ran all night, flooding our basement and damaging almost half of the wood floors on the first level of the house. Luckily our basement was unfinished, or I can't even imagine how bad the damage might have been. Also lucky, we had another week in our lease so we were able to push our move-in for a week so that the Morris team could dry out the sub floors before replacing all of the damaged floors, and then get started on the actual sanding and re-finishing. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because this was an honest mistake and Morris did take responsibility and replace the floors that were damaged / the end product overall looks really good. It was difficult to get timely updates throughout and in the end, there is still some visible damage to the door frames and some of the trim in the areas that got water-damaged, but overall I understand that they took on a lot of cost to make things right after their initial mistake, and the floor in the end looks really good.

Morris Hardwood Flooring was hired to replace hardwood flooring in formerly carpeted living room area and refinish existing American cherry floors in November 2021. Melissa, the owner underestimated the project and the installers ran out of wood. The team finished the job early in spite of scrambling for wood and one guy not showing up for work one day. The end result was unacceptable. Sanding was inconsistent and corners were still showing the former finish. Steve, another owner, spent an entire day correcting a multiple of mistakes. This second try to correct poor workmanship required us to spend an additional night out of the house. The redo appeared to have corrected many of the crew's failures. After mailing the final payment, I began noticing many blatant (see photos) errors. After multiple attempts to reach Melissa and sharing photos with her she stated she saw nothing wrong and this final product would be considered in line with industry standards. Additionally, as a “courtesy” she would have Steve contact me in January when he returned to town. January has come and gone, and no attempt by Melissa or Steve to correct the shoddy workmanship. I’ve worked with many trades and subcontractors over the years, as a landlord and homeowner, and never worked with anyone so disinterested in completing a job as Morris Flooring. I would recommend looking elsewhere to spend your hard earned dollars on wood refinishing work.

Great experience! Helped choose the right wood. Convenient scheduling. Instal crew was awesome. Result is spectacular. Will definitely call again.

We had Morris flooring install 6" live sawn white oak floors throughout our house. They also installed all the flush mount hvac vents at no additional charge. Everything they said they did and in a timely, professional manner. They were referred by the distributor of the product we chose and priced the job competitively. Will be using them on the next project!

Morris did a great job with our floors. Tate and Chris were knowledgeable and professional. We are so pleased with the results and would recommend Morris to anyone.

From start to finish, Morris Flooring was professional, timely and kept to their word. Melissa came promptly & estimated. Trish had carpet samples shipped to me within a week. The installers were on time and efficient. I highly recommend this company and its people.

Very impressed with Morris Flooring. I called Morris Flooring after having numerous problems with the home depot installation department. Morris came for a measure the next day, scheduled the install on the day I needed and did a fantastic job removing old carpet and installing luxuay vinyl, all at the lower price! I would highly recommend anyone looking for great service and great floors.

Had a great experience with Morris Flooring. My floor looks like new, and that says a lot considering what they had to work with!. The staff is very knowledgeable and professional and definitely earned my recommendation.
