Custom hand-cut mosaics for pools, murals, floors and backsplashes — fabricated in our own studio since 1998, in 1,000+ colors of glass. Every piece is cut by hand. We work in smalti (Byzantine glass), smalto (Venetian glass) and natural marble, and we cut each tessera to fit the drawing rather than fitting the drawing to stock tile. That is what lets a mosaic hold shading, skin tone and detail that machine-cut tile cannot. Our work includes commercial and residential swimming pools, hotel and airport murals, waterlines, medallions, backsplashes, floors and public art, throughout the United States and abroad. How we work: we fabricate, your tile setter installs. Mosaics ship paper-faced and numbered in sections with a full-size layout map, to be set by an experienced tile setter. We do not send crews to job sites. We can also build a mosaic onto cement board and frame it, so it ships ready to hang like a painting.
