Netley Creek Landscaping

We hired Netley Creek Landscaping in spring 2018 and were very please with the experience. We had heard so many positive things about this company and, because they were so highly recommended, we did not feel the need to shop around. Russ was wonderful to work with from beginning to end. We had general ideas for our yard and Russ was able to come up with a great design that worked with our budget. Our yard looks amazing and has exceeded our expectations. When Justin came for our first consultation visit, I ended up doing something at the end of our meeting that represented a very bold, very atypical move (for me) and that is that I told him I was interested in hiring them – without further consultation and without having shopped around for, or obtained quotes from, any other landscapers. I just do not do that normally. I mean if I’m planning to buy a loaf of bread I make sure to examine at least three loaves before placing one in the cart (and before you judge me, let’s be honest… some of you reading this right now know very well what I’m talking about because you do it too; admit it!). So that was definitely bold. It was also the best decision I could’ve made. It’s now been a year since I first met with Justin, and about nine months since the work began, and eight months since it was completed. We are truly VERY happy with the outcome. Make that EXTREMELY. Justin was great to work with from the beginning, and his crew were too. Together they have given us an amazing new and ridiculously attractive front & back yard. Using various Barkman stone products they created a new front walkway and front steps, as well as a patio with a circular fire pit in the back (with steps connecting to our deck and a walking “bridge” (slab) connecting the patio to the putting green – all next to and around a central, lighted water fountain), laid sod and planted various shrubs in both the front & back yards (in very artistically shaped and uniquely elevated planting beds), and also laid down some black granite stones next to the walkways and in each of the planting beds to compliment everything and tie everything together in a beautiful, artistic way. You should know that they not only did absolutely awesome work from the first day to the last but Justin’s design concepts & suggestions were so unique and out-of-the-box that I really wasn’t sure initially that some of them would work in our small(ish) urban situation (such as the use of large boulders in both the front and back – something that I thought was best left for larger, newer, more striking yards in the most chic neighbourhoods). Are we ever glad we listened to him, though! Our front yard now has such curb appeal, that it didn’t have before, and the back yard – well… it’s simply become an oasis that is unlike anything we’ve ever seen – even IN some of those newer, swankier developments in those chic neighbourhoods. Add to this that their prices were very reasonable and their workmanship excellent and what you have at the end is a customer who is EXCEPTIONALLY glad that he chose to listen to his putting green designer (Larry @ Textured Turf - see review) and hire the best landscaper around, bar none… namely Netley Creek Landscaping. So if you’ve got a landscaping project that you need done, either small or large, I heartily recommend that you give them an opportunity to do for you what they did for us. Honestly, you won’t regret your choice and will no doubt be extremely pleased with the outcome, just as we are.

We are beyond impressed. Russ was amazing to work with. He is a creative genius. They were on time, on budget and polite. I recommend them to everyone.

Netley Creek Landscaping is excellent! From the design to the installation to the great crew we were thoroughly impressed with their work. Plus we have had so many compliments on their work that started while they were still in progress! They incorporated everything that we were looking for in the design and graciously handled all the little changes that came up during the installation. Russ was able to come up with a great design that incorporated the things we wanted, and his team was able to make it happen. The project took 5 days from start to finish and the end result is wonderful. We keep getting compliments for how the yard looks.

Dealing with Netley Creek made things VERY easy for us. My wife and I have little to zero design skill and weren't positive what we wanted the yard to look like, we had an idea of elements we wanted incorporated, but that's all. Russ came to our home in the evening to accommodate both or our work schedules and sat with us to discuss our list of what we needed, versus what we wanted, and let us know what was realistic based on our budget . He took the list and descriptions and drew out a perfect layout that included everything we had wanted. It came in slightly over what we had budgeted, so Russ helped make suggestions where we could substitute for more cost-effective materials, and still keep the overall look to keep it our dream-yard. Netley doesn't do everything that needs to be done (deck and sprinklers), but had great recommendations on people to contact that have done great work for him in the past, and coordinated directly with those companys to get the work done on-time. Overall, Netley gave us our dream yard on-time, and on budget. They've done excellent work for us and a few of our friends, and we'll definitely be using them again if we ever move.

I'd give Russ & his crew 4.5 stars both times I've hired them (no one ever gets 5 stars). Russ has a great eye for design, is professional, competitive pricing, shows up on time and get's the job done right. I'm really not sure what more you could ask for. The after sales support is even there which is very rare now a days. Will definitely hire for my next project.
