My name is Coco, and I am the proud owner of Coco Design & Build Co., a company specializing in high-end kitchen and bathroom renovations. While my business allows me to create beautiful and functional spaces for clients, my heart and passion lie in an exciting community-focused project: Thee Old Fishbowl Gallery. This gallery is more than just a new venture—it’s a way to honor history and invest in the future. Located in the iconic building where Thee Fish Bowl pet store operated for over 50 years, we are reimagining this beloved space into a hub for creativity, connection, and giving back. The mission of Thee Old Fishbowl Gallery is simple but powerful: to support and showcase the incredible talent of local artists while strengthening our community. We plan to host gallery openings to celebrate their work, alongside organizing special free events that bring people together. Every step we take is grounded in giving back—100% of the profits from the gallery will go toward philanthropic efforts that directly benefit our local area. Working with Coco on a basement remodel project and it’s been a fantastic experience! Great communication, professional, and thoughtful during the entire process. Always available to answer questions and adjust to accommodate as necessary. Work with Coco if you want someone that has your best interests in mind during what can be a stressful renovation process. Coco is extremely punctual and responsive. There are always issues when doing a renovation and Coco walks you through the steps easily. She communicates well with the workers and has good connections in the Chicagoland area with vendors

Working with a designer was a new experience for me. I was nervous how it was going to go given my nature to want to control things, but knew I needed her experience. She provided great open dialog, was always receptive to my ideas and provided alternatives where she saw better opportunity resulting in the perfect kitchen for me; a balance between gorgeous design and practicality! I was equally impressed with the people she has doing the installation. Top notch!
