I can’t say enough what a pleasure it was working with Nicolette at Arcata Cabinet and Design Company. Her design of the cabinetry was stunning and the attention to detail was incredible, we could not be more happy! I would also like to say Marc, the installer did an amazing job building the cabinets, he was professional and a pleasure to work with as well. We are so grateful for all their dedication and time they gave to our project.

I was looking at Dekton for an outdoor kitchen and posted on houzz.com about my concerns Dekton vs.Granite. She not only answered all my questions but was very prompt as I asked more and more questions. She wasn't thinking "Oh boy! I answered one questions now I get a bunch load of questions!!" She was very patient with my good and stupid questions (not stupid to me but I'm sure they were to her) She knows I will not be giving her any business so for her to spend THAT much time patiently answering my questions just makes me wonder how committed she will to her actual paying clients!

We worked with Nicolette on our full kitchen, laundry and powder room remodel. Through her design process she listened to what was important to us and incorporated our ideas into the project, leaving us with a kitchen that truly represents us and who we are. Nicolette added unique details such as leather pulls and antique wheels on the butcher block cabinet, a barn door design in the powder room and an oversized cast iron farmhouse sink in the laundry room; adding that touch of rustic we were looking for! With so many choices in materials, colors and style it was nice to have Nicolette take the lead, presenting us with her selections. And she was dead on! The colors all worked so well together, as the project started to take shape, each added piece enhanced the next. We couldn't be happier with the end result. This being our first major remodel project, we didn't know what to expect and were unsure of how it would all come together. Nicolette handled every detail, communicated with us almost daily, kept us informed of the construction schedule, walked us through ordering the fixtures, the appliances and choosing paint colors. We worked together closely throughout the entire project, resulting in a perfect collaboration, Nicolette's expertise combined with our vision! Job well done!

I have wanted to remodel my kitchen with someone who could give a kitchen that was based around art work from Mexico. Nicolette gave me a design that would be functional, traditionally contemporary (my description), and unique. We remodeled the adjacent FR to create an open living space with our kitchen. She helped us update our 1st floor laundry room and guest bath too. The remodel took a year, but like childbirth, you sort of forget about it after you see what is produced. It is a space we will love to look at for a long time.

About 3 1/2 years ago we embarked on a full kitchen remodel. My husband was to be the contractor and we needed a local source for reasonably-priced, quality cabinetry and design services. After looking on-line at door styles of various manufacturers, I submitted an inquiry to Columbia Cabinetry to find a Sacramento area distributor, and Nar Fine Carpentry answered my query. My experience was outstanding! Nicolette was patient in helping me to define my style and refine our proposed kitchen layout for maximum efficiency, storage, and functionality. She was able to recommend great local resources for countertop installation and appliances. Nicolette had answers for all of my questions, and my husband said he had never had someone measure and order cabinets with such precision for ease of installation. Fast forward to March 2014... I called Nicolette again to help with our master bathroom remodel. She met me at Nar Fine Carpentry's new showroom in El Dorado Hills (since it was more convenient for me) and within a couple of hours we had most everything worked out! I brought my tile selection to the appointment, and she was able to direct me toward a cabinet door style and hardware that would work in the space, while offering unique storage solutions in the vanity to solve my problems. Once again, Nicolette offered style and design suggestions and resources for the sinks, faucets and lighting. AND, just to put my mind at ease, she even reviewed our proposed layout to verify that the bathtub I really want will fit comfortably in the space and not interfere with the flow of the room. For me, Nicolette accomplished nothing short of a miracle-- she managed to make the daunting task of undertaking a remodel a pleasurable experience, resulting in a phenomenal outcome!

I'm so honored to recommend Nicolette Patton as a kitchen designer extraordinaire. I was at a complete loss as to where to even begin with our kitchen remodel. I stumbled into Nicolette's showroom feeling overwhelmed and not knowing where to begin the process. She listened to my story and within minutes had figured out my design vision. We started with a sparkly piece of counter top sample and built a gorgeous chef kitchen that's unique, charming, and functional for our family. My original kitchen floor plan was cookie cutter at best. Nicolette worked with a difficult original floor plan, and had vision to create a superior cooking, showplace space. Our kitchen is the central gathering place for our family and friends. With the new floor plan we can entertain more people without feeling crowded and constrained. However, Nicolette always handled these challenges calmly with grace and expertise. Nicolette's wealth of knowledge with appliances and plumbing fixtures took so many decisions off my plate. She was super organized and thought of every detail, so that I could have the confidence that everything would flow and work well together. In the end, I gained a beautiful kitchen with all the latest finishes, plus a dear friend. If you are looking for a designer that will think out of the box and create a masterpiece of excellence, then look no further than Nicolette.

Nicolette has the wonderful ability to combine beauty with function. She designed the kitchen after a lengthy conversation about our needs and preferences. Since our kitchen is located at the very center of our home and is a major traffic hub, it was crucial that all the elements fit together well. She focused on our island and coordinated the granite counter color with the cabinet style and color. Appliances were arranged in a such a way as to promote easy flow from one station to the other. Expert use of cabinet space and accessories allow us to store away many things so that our kitchen space looks clean. My most beloved cabinet accessories include: dish drawer angled across from dishwasher, extensive spice rack drawer and vertical cabinet (oils, vinegars, etc.) next to stove top, garbage/recycle drawer next to sink, bread drawer, and a Artisan mixer tray that folds into a cabinet when not in use. We enjoyed her organizational skills so much that Nicolette returned to design my home office space as well as the cabinets and built-in armoire in the master bedroom. Our projects together started in 2007 and finished in 2011.

As a manufacturer's rep that calls on over 125 kitchen and bath designers throughout Northern California, Northern Nevada, and Utah, Nicolette is one kitchen and bath designer that has the perfect skill set for her profession. In the 10 or so years that I've known her, I have seen the friendly, disarming way she works with homeowners. Her great organizational skills, her ability to listen closely to clients, and ultimately translate their wants and desires into beautifully, thoughtfully, designed spaces, puts her an elite class of designers.
