Ocean Pacific Patios

Hugo is a skilled craftsman who has a great design eye and did a great job manifesting our vision for front gated porch and backyard screens/skirt. We enjoyed collaborating with him and John Haynes. This is the third time we have contracted with Ocean Pacific Patios for upgrades to our home, which indicates the strong confidence we have in their work.

Ocean Pacific Patios did a great job on our new patio. We were very pleased with the work at every level. Beginning with John Haynes, the construction manager, and all the way through the construction of the new patio. We are very pleased with the end result. Ocean Pacific Patios (OPP) installed our 13’ x 21’ aluminum patio cover in August 2018. Mr. John Haynes, Construction Manager, provided great design improvement suggestions making the patio configuration much better. The construction crew's attention to detail produced great appearance, and they left a neat work site at day’s end. OPP was the lowest bidder in a close spread but we would have opted for OPP anyway based on a) John’s presentation and b) a neighbor with an OPP-installed patio said it was the best way to go. In my opinion, he was correct. We receive many kudos from family, neighbors and friends on our new patio cover. I highly recommend Ocean Pacific Patio!

Ocean Pacific was a very professional organization from the start to the finish. The estimate was provided and realistic. They did a follow up to verify all areas had been considered, plus provided me with excellent suggestions that enhanced the installation. The installers were on time and completed all work as established. They did a fantastic job and of course great clean up too. I was very happy with the job. Because of their professional operation I then had my front patio also done.

When talking with the original salesman (who was quite knowledgeable...), I informed him one of the key items in proceeding with my patio cover project was to ensure I could maintain an existing gutter over the dining room. His measurements appeared good and he did note the installers would have to confirm things would work out. When the installers came, I told them the same thing and with a smile said things would work out but they'd have to install the cover an inch lower on the overhang, exposing the back side of the rafter tail. This was OK to me because I needed the gutter to work and a little aesthetic issue wasn't that bad. However, I came out later to find out they did not drop the cover as promised but said it would all still work out. During my final inspection there were literally a dozen missing fasteners, covers, etc. that I pointed out and which they corrected (obviously they did a poor job checking their own work but did fix it). After they left, I went to install the gutter and it would not fit! The inch drop promised would have given me the necessary slope but instead the water pools at one end and I'm stuck with it. In short, nice salesman and friendly crew but the failed on the quality control of the project. It may look nice to everyone else that sees it but it rubs me every time I think about it. I actually did not go with the lowest bidder as I believed this team "got it" but perhaps not. (Note: a week or two later I noticed they also forgot to install one of the post caps. I offered them to just mail it to me, etc. but weeks later they finally put it on...wrong! I had to rework the cap so it covered the entire opening at the top.)

John was extremely knowledgeable, professional and totally made us feel confident in his ability to design and install our new patio cover. We couldn't be happier with our finished product. Our patio cover is custom, no doubt, and absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend John and Ocean Pacific Patios to anyone looking to install a new patio cover.

After getting 3 other quotes, I signed up with John on the spot. He took his time walking me through all my options and making suggestions. They had Cesar and Mario at my house a week later to install my cover. Those guys were fast but thorough! Love my new patio!

We were well pleased with the work done and the timely manor in which it was done. We were given dates and times and they did not only meet our expectations but exceeded them,

I met with John from Ocean Pacific Patios while also getting pricing from 5 other companies before deciding to go with Ocean Pacific Patios. He seemed to be the most qualified and honest to deal with. I wanted to go with the insulated patio cover which most other companies will not prefer to do because they can make a better profit installing the non-insulated patio cover. He was good about letting me know when the work would be finished even with the rain delays. I had to update this review, as after many attempts, the company would not respond to helping to fix the cement. There is on section that has a metal shard sticking out that would be very dangerous if stepped on. I have had to find a different company to help me to fix Ocean Pacific Patios original job.

We were very satisfied with the workmanship and the timing of the work being done. We love out new patio and our inlaid payers.

If I could make it 4 1/2 stars I would, just the detail finish was hard. ON price, on date, very good
