Full Circle Builders and Development

6 years ago, Full Circle built our home in Litchfield. The build went really well, we are pleased with the quality of their construction. Along the way paid, what was due, on time. My only gripes are as follows: 1- If you want to make any changes....it's like pulling teeth with Brad. He does not acknowledge who the owner is. 2- Brads contract states.... if he is doing the drawings and you choose him to build, the drawing costs will be reimbursed. Well....good luck getting your money back. Brad forgets this part of his contract and we never received it. 3- Our contract included gutters. After our final payment.....we decided not to have them installed. Several weeks after we moved in I went to Brads office to retrieve our $600. ( this amount was Brads low estimate, try getting full house gutters for $600.) Went to his office to pickup a check and he was ready for me with a bogus $2,000. additional dirt fill bill. Sadly, I do not recommend Brad because of the petty things he does. Good builder with good subs but he has forgotten who is paying the bills.

Purchased a lot close to the beach and decided to build a retirement home. After interviewing a few builders decided to go with this firm because they were located in town. Even though we filled out surveys of what we wanted and they were only building our home at the time, it took 14 months from the time the permit was issued. The contract stated it would take 6-9 months. All of our choices had to be picked out multiple times largely due to poor vendors/suppliers. They were totally oblivious to the town regulations and didn’t take responsibility for any delays. Had virtually no contact with the owner, Brad, not even a courtesy call. All of the extra costs that they didn’t anticipate due to the lack of knowledge about the towns regulations were passed on to us in an after the fact method. Ultimately we had to get the CO from the town due to this builder hiring unlicensed contractors.

It was my pleasure in 2007-2008 to work with Brad Odom of Full Circle Builders on the design and construction of my creekside home. Mr. Odom gave careful attention to my ideas for the home design and he went to extra lengths to "make this one of the best experiences of my life." I could not be better pleased with the beautiful and well-constructed home that he designed and built for me. I am impressed with Mr. Odom's knowledge, attention to design and work ethic. During this project we developed a warm relationship which continues to date. I continue to be impressed by Mr. Odom's ability and professionalism. I have no hesitancy to recommend him to others.

My wife Ann and I purchased a lot 4 years ago and spent the next 2 years reviewing floor plans, talking to builders, homeowners, and visiting new home job sites. In visiting job sites, we eventually narrowed our search down to one builder - Full Circle Builders. We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the job site for starters. After that, we noticed that Full Circle was just different than the rest of the builders we had visited. Spending 2 years pouring over floor plans and visiting job sites we noticed many differences in the average home construction and that of Full Circle. The foundation and slab seemed more substantial. Hurricane code here requires the frame to be secured by bolts around the entire foundation. Full Circle goes one step further. They run tie-down cables from the top of the house into the base of the foundation and the cables are tightened much like you would tighten guitar strings. The framing also is more substantial than the average we saw. On top of that, the entire house is sealed inside with spray foam insulation. This ensures a tightness throughout the entire house dramatically reducing our energy costs. Our costs in this house (4200 sq. ft. conditioned) compared to our townhome (1900 sq. ft. conditioned) are less than half. After seeing a handful of Full Circle's homes we decided that this was the builder for us! We met Brad Odom, the owner of Full Circle, and were surprised to find that Brad is an architect by trade who does his own contracting. We found in our first meeting that he is very innovative. You will not find him doing "cookie cutter" homes - just custom. After seeing a number of his homes being built from top to bottom, I told Ann that we probably couldn't afford Brad. Were we surprised! Brad's prices were within a couple dollars per sq. ft. of the average "cookie cutter" builders we had interviewed and we got all of this great stuff! We designed (with Brad's help) the house that fit our lifestyle and budget and even got a couple of "secret rooms". Before we started building, we talked to a lot of our friends who had built numerous homes in their lifetimes. To a person, they all said "if you can live through the building process, you'll be ok." Well, the building process with Brad was a breeze. Not only because of Brad, but Brad has been careful in hiring who works for him - contractors, vendors who supply product, and most importantly his foreman. These people are professionals from top to bottom who all take great pride in their work. Living down the road from the new home while it was being built, we were able to visit the job site almost every day. There wasn't one time we came over and had to correct anything! We have been in our new home for a year and a half now and we're always asked the same question - "What would you change about the house?" Our response is always the same - "Not a thing." If you are going to build, I would encourage you to do your due diligence like we did. I highly recommend Brad Odom and Full Circle to be top priority on your list.
