My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

About Us

Joyful, Honest, Fearless Design. Since 2004, our mission has been to create functional spaces that make it easier for clients to be happy, comfortable, and inspired. We use color, texture, and pattern to define the personality of our rooms and the people who live and work within them. By working with American furniture makers, using paperless presentations, and staying up to date with eco-friendly innovations in our field, we strive to put good stewardship of our earth at the center of our business practices. Each project is crafted thoughtfully to assure that balance, scale, and harmony are perfected through space planning and material selections. At our design studio in historic Winchester, Virginia, you can see our work in person and talk to us about your project.

Choosing paint colors for an open floor plan is difficult. Paul helped us considering our preferences and furniture and made suggestions that worked and helped us create a cohesive and attractive environment that we continue to enjoy.

Paul offered paint color and visual merchandising advice. His ideas are brilliant! While he gauges the client's appetite for design as a baseline, he comes up with exciting suggestions, all of which I accepted! I would not hesitate to engage him again.

I have worked with Paul for several years on two houses. I am always pleased with his work. I appreciated how Paul helped me incorporate many of my existing pieces into our new home. He is such a good listener who pays attention to my ideas and my style. And yet he still manages to bring me fresh ideas that have worked so well in this new house. I have two friends who have used his services and all of our homes are completely different, reflecting our personal styles.

So excited to be working with Paul and MakeNest Interiors. I want to create a new bathroom experience that is more Zen focused but still keeping my love of the Caribbean and a unique water shower experience. I am also preparing for when I am much older to accommodate my needs.

Paul is a delight to work with. He took my initial vision, stepped it up 5 notches, and executed it perfectly. His expertise goes way beyond furniture -- he assisted me with paint colors when building a new home, helped me find unique light fixtures that had the appropriate size and scope for the rooms, and made everything flow nicely. I continue to see out MakeNest when I have new projects to work on!

It is a pleasure to work with Paul Miller. He sought out our desires and tastes and helped us incorporate what we could in our 1920's era "new home". Paul helped us preserve the feel of the home's history whenever possible. He met with our contractor and different suppliers to help with selections. The project started in January 2017 and is just about complete, but the timing is due to construction.
