About Us

Owner, Colby Edwards, has been designing Swimming Pools for Pool builders throughout United States for over 10 years! Prior to design, he was involved in residential home building and construction for over 8 years. From 2006-2014, Colby worked for a Pool Builder in Austin, Texas as their designer and construction manager. Colby has had several years of working on many different projects.. Placid Scene Pool Design has been a side project for 9 years while living in Austin, Texas. In 2014, The Edwards family moved to Arkansas and decided to pursue design full time. Colby has designed well over a thousand pools! Several of the pools that he has worked on have won regional and national awards with APSP. Colby goes above expectations and has many great relationships with pool builders. His attention to detail always shows.

Colby was a Designer, Estimator, Field Superintendent as well as a Project Manager of Construction for 10 years with Johnson Custom Pools. During that time Colby used his skill set in Auto CAD and Pool Studio to assist in design work as well as construction drawing sets for pools that were sold. We have used Colby’s services for the past 5 years as he is extremely thorough with his designs as well as timely in his turn around. We would recommend him to anyone looking to have your dream pool designed!

I hired Mr. Edwards to draft a remodel for us. I found him to be very responsive and patient, (our homeowner was not the easiest to deal with, changes galore) he was precise, professional, and very reasonably priced. Our project turned out great, and even our "difficult" homeowner was pleased by the end. Thanks Colby!

Colby is very easy to work with. Which is saying a lot in the construction field. He has good input but also concern for the desires of the customer or builder he is working with. Appreciate his insight into how design meets function and having things designed in a way we can build and use. His designs reflect the many years of experience he has designing pools and working with his CAD and 3-D software.
