Pony Lawncare and Landscaping

Every morning when we open the patio blinds, we pinch ourselves!!! We feel as if we are on vacation as we linger over the views of our dream patio! It is Fabulous!!!! After utilizing several months researching and reviewing many companies online as well at home and garden events, my husband and I feel so fortunate to have found John and his team, Pony Lawncare and Landscaping. We began working with John on our backyard dream last fall. From the beginning we were impressed with John's character and work ethic in his quick response to phone calls and/or emails as we worked to hammer out the plan. When we met to finalize the details with the review of the renderings that John had prepared, his attentiveness to our dream was readily evident in the details of the drawings. All winter, we relished these drawings anticipating the moment when we could step out onto our new backyard retreat! When the project began this spring, John and his crew did not disappoint! Not only did they come prepared to work hard, the crew was very courteous, prompt, and professional with major kudos for maintaining a clean work area day in and day out! If we had any questions or needed explanations on the next stage of the progress, John and his crew were quick to respond keeping us informed. Our only wish: we wish we had found Pony Lawncare and Landscaping sooner! We will definitely refer this business to family, friends, and neighbors without hesitation!

We have employed Pony Landscaping for several large projects. I can not recommend anyone higher then John and his crew. They're hard working, ethical and a joy to work with from start to finish. I have never found a contractor in the past 30 years of home improvements that I feel equals their professionalism. They arrive early and stay late each day and do a great job of keeping everything tidy!

I contracted Pony Landscaping when we first moved to Powell, based on recommendation made by the cable installer. It turned out he had done work for some neighbors so it appeared to be a good choice. Our agreement was structured such that John would mulch around my trees, do some spring cleanup, and edge around my plant beds, and treat the lawn with the necessary chemicals needed throughout the year. In return, I agreed with him that I would provide monthly installments so that by the end of the year, the balance would be paid in full. All of my yard work was going to cost about $2000, so I planned on sending him $200/month. I sent monthly installments as promised. However, half-way through the season, I received a voicemail from John that basically said "your account has been placed on hold until you make payment in full." I called him to remind him that our agreement was that I'd provide monthly payments, and that my account would be paid in full by the end of the year, but he responded by saying that I would remain on hold until it was fully paid off. I understand payment structures can be an issue for a small business. Had he called and said that he needed more than $200 per month, I would have been happy to discuss. But to receive a rude voicemail that said that he would put my account on hold till it was paid in full was unprofessional. He has lost my business.

Great design with pavers and water feature. Jon was eager, professional and did a good job. He stayed on budget and schedule. We are happy with are small patio and water feature and retaining wall. We would use him again.

Pony Landscape was one of four companies I interviewed for my patio design and installation. I chose Pony because John listened to what I wanted and didn't sound like a salesman. Very professional and not too anxious. He also gave me a better presentation as to how the finished product may look. He was competitively priced too. The owner was on the job each day and his crew were clean cut boys, no smokers, tattoos or sloppy looking punks. And boy, do they work hard. They were clean and organized throughout each day of the project. I have not seen a production and a finished product so nicely completed. My friends claim, the most impressive part of my $120,000 remodel, is my new paver patio. I will always be a client of Pony Landscape and highly recommend giving them a call for your next project. Best in the business! I work with a lot of landscapers and not all of them take as much pride in their work as this one! If you want a beautiful landscape installed or maintained, this is your guy!

1. They provide full service landscaping and lawn care. I have used them to take care of my yard and landscaping from day 1. They do a wonderful job. They are 100 percent reliable . If there is a change in schedule due to the elements, John is very good at communicating the change. I have also used them for landscape projects. They are innovative and price competitive. Finally, I am working with them now to build a patio. Again, John is great to work with and really listens to what you want and works with you to find the right solution based on price and craftsmanship. This group can handle a million dollar home to the yard at a starter home.

This will be the third season Pony Lawncare and Landscaping will handled my spring clean up, weekly maintenance and fall clean up. They always do an outstanding job! The crew shows up as scheduled, completes job in a timely manner and cleans up afterwards. Last season Pony installed a gas fire pit and needless to say I am very pleased with the finished project. In addition, communications with the owner is great, if I need to leave a message I always receive a response within 24 hours. I must say doing business with Pony Lawncare and Landscaping has been a pleasant experience.

My wife and I had a slight idea of what we wanted and John came back with a great design. He is great to work with, and always got back with us quickly for my questions. These guys worked hard and did a great job. They exceeded my expectations. We are very pleased and proud of our new back yard. I recommend Pony Landscape to my friends and neighbors

Pony Lanscaping was referred to us by family. My wife and I met with John to discuss our vision of the project. John was extremely helpful and was very open to us breaking the project down in phases that could be completed on our timeline. John met with us again to present his design idea. Both my wife and I thought John's design was outstanding. At this point we broke it down into phases and opted to go with phases 1 & 2 for our intial project. John's team started early March as promised. His team was hardworking, courteous and customer service oriented. They were more than willing to take the time to answer any questions, even from my young children. The project took a little over a week to complete. Phases 1 & 2 involved the pouring of footers for future phases, multiple tiers and running PVC conduits for lighting and gas line. Overall, it was an outstanding customer service experience. From the designing of the project, the construction of the patio and the clean up, it was all handled with professionalism. From working with another high end landscaping company at a previous residence, what distinguised the difference between the two was the finish. Both landscaping companies did beautiful work. As you can imagine, your yard takes a beating from the heavy equipment. Pony landscaping finished the project with actual sod to replace grass that had been destroyed from the equipment. The other company used seed. I think this speaks volume to the attention to detail. I know my wife and I look forward to working with Pony Landscaping on the future phases that were designed.
