Would not recommend unless you want a contractor who does not communicate with you. Too bad because the owner himself appears to be a nice man, however the office staff is absolutely terrible. I hired a company who acted like they wanted my business...

We contacted Regal Replacement Windows soon after purchasing a home in Gorham. Being new to the area we had no established contacts for contractors and were pleasantly surprised at our first meeting with Bob; he is professional, friendly, patient, reassuring and, above all, very knowledgeable of his products and procedures. We decided upon the Soft Lite windows, not only for their construction and many features, but also for Soft Lite’s ability to provide the finish we wanted inside and out, which was lacking in other manufacturers we investigated. On Day One (in February) Bob and his crew worked efficiently and neatly to minimize the time and number of rooms open to the outside at any one time. At the end of the day the house was as tidy as when they started, and more than half the windows in the house had been replaced! Now all 14 windows, including some extra sill and trim work, have been completed and we couldn’t be happier. The Soft Lite windows have eliminated both the large amount of cold air coming in from outside and the heat loss from the inside we experienced with the old (original) windows; they are easy to operate and very easy to clean with the tilt-in feature. Bob and his crew work very well together and their workmanship is excellent. They were very respectful of our property while here and even carefully avoided everything in the garden in front of one large picture window they replaced! Not only were they tidy while working but cleaned up very well when through. Work proceeded according to plan and quote with no suprises – all had been thoroughly prepared by Bob from the beginning, with careful attention to detail, which was just as carefully and patiently explained to us from the start. Regal replaced nine large windows in my home. The work was performed in a professional manner, on time and without any add on costs. Although vinyl windows replaced original wooden windows the wood like finish on the interior of the vinyl windows is a very close match maintaining the original look of the interior. I would be most willing to hire this firm again.

Bob provided excellent workmanship. We hired him to replace 10 windows. He communicated well with us. He left the job site clean every day. I felt comfortable leaving him in our home while I was at work. I plan to hire him again to replace more windows.

Robert Burkhardt replaced twelve windows in my dining room which required new framing, new trim and a second floor installation. Robert and his staff were very professional and accommodating. Robert also primed and painted both the interior and exterior trim and retouched the interior paint surrounding window installation, I had an existing six foot round window in the same space. My goal was to "ground" the round window, establish a more intimate and "cottage like" dining area. I am very pleased with the final product which exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Regal Renovation and Design!
