Revival Flat is a boutique interior design firm located in Orange County, California. We’ve done a wide range of projects across Southern California, Hawaii, and Arizona. With over 20 years in the field, principle interior designer Christy Arakaki has a broad range of experience in both residential and commercial design. Born and raised in California, Christy finds comfort and leisure in the deserts, mountains, and coasts that make this state so glorious. These joyful and peaceful experiences have informed an aesthetic that is inspired by the perfect simplicity of nature. Balancing color, texture, and line to create spaces that inspire both awe and tranquility. In addition to her work in the field, Christy has been a professor of interior design for over 18 years. Teaching design has had a tremendous impact on her approach to the process, viewing design as a combination of both art and science. Our perspective is influenced by a true love of history and architecture. We take a modern approach, designing spaces that serve the way we live today while honoring the details that make each home unique. Creating interiors that are curated, inspired, and elevated. We could not be happier with Christy at Revival Flat. She is so calm and cheerful - easy to work with. We have a historic home and were looking for an eclectic look. Christy created a design and we were able to work together to get all of the pieces for our living room, dining room, and kitchen. Some of the furniture items we bought were from the antique market in Long Beach and she was so patient with all of my texts, sending pics of pieces that could fit into the design. Everything came together from various sources and we could not be happier! I would gladly refer Christy to anyone. Our house is a home thanks to her help. We will gladly call her any time we are redecorating in the future - it was sad for our year-long project to end.

I hired Christy to update two guest bedrooms and their adjacent bathrooms. My request was to make them light in color, inviting, and cozy. Her eye for color was magical. She made amazing suggestions for the shower tile, all while making it compliment my existing flooring and sink. I loved how she incorporated some of my existing furniture, and made it look so different by its placement. The best day was the “reveal”.... I trusted her vision and her rooms remain the favorite part of my house. I can’t wait to use her again

It was a pleasure working with Christy of Revival Flat to remodel my kitchen. I had never worked with a designer before and Christy provided just what I needed. She listened carefully to what I wanted and offered suggestions to meet my goals. She worked with me as a consultant and provided guidance on color choices for the backsplash, wall paint, cabinets and flooring. Christy was easily accessible and flexible throughout the project. There were so many decisions to make and when I didn't know what to do, I could rely on Christy to help. Her knowledge, resources, and experience helped me feel confident that my kitchen would turn out beautifully. And it did! I will definitely call on Christy's expertise to help with future projects.
