About Us

Gentlemen Carpenter with over 30 years experience in all aspects of finish carpentry and cabinetry, who enjoys his work for more than one reason. Besides the satisfaction I get after completing a professional install, homeowners are extremely pleased that I cared enough to do a great job. And that is the biggest reward of all. I install an average of 1 kitchen each week (sometimes two very small ones) with the utmost care. Here you will see cabinet installation photos in progress and finished, mostly without tops installed. Unfortunately, I stopped asking for reviews temporarily based on a very hostile and untruthful commenter. The only reason I have this profile up is to give my next customer peace of mind. As you can see I don't have many followers and really don't need any. It's not my intent to find customers on Houzz, but who knows? I might. Back to insights: Your countertop company will install the new tops. If you need names of reputable companies providing very fair and honest rates, I could suggest a couple. *Note The better stone/granite companies have strick level requirements before installing your tops and for good reason - unlevel and/or movement can cause a crack to occur. Cabinets are always suggested to be installed on solid subfloor, no more than 1/8" out of level within a 10 ft. run. Most Cabinet installations go quickly - 2 - 4 days is the average time frame. *Not to disrespect anyone - but I have refaced cabinets before for another company, but have to ask (and you should too) why reface when you can install new, 'better' quality cabinets at the same cost or lower? I guess it's one of those "buyer beware" categories'?

Bob recently installed our kitchen cabinets from Cabinets to Go in Monroeville. He is an extremely skilled carpenter and is meticulous with his work. He keeps you informed about everything while doing the job and it shows in the detailed finished product. We would highly recommend him to do your project. You'll be pleased with the results for sure

Right from the beginning Bob was easy to work with on scheduling. Even though I had to reschedule twice he worked with me easily. He measured the site himself, checked the materials, and ordered some extra as needed. When it came day for him to begin he was here on time and was a pleasure to work with. We had electricians, a carpenter, general workers, but he was pleasant and did his work. The job was fantastically done. I personally hate people who can actually place cabinets within 1/32nds of an inch, but they are good to hate. The appliance all go in properly with proper tolerances. There was one back panel missing and his is bringing that over later today. Then he cleaned up after himself. All in all a great job. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!

The kitchen cabinets Bob installed look beautiful. Bob took the time to do some things he doesn't normally do like install the microwave oven and vent above the cooktop. The job did take a little longer that expected because the supplier had not sent everything I ordered and shorted me on the crown molding. Bob is very friendly and talkative, makes practical suggestions about what would look and work best for my space. He also listened when I made suggestions. Bob is very hard working and meticulous about his work. He really tries to help his customers have the best remodel experience. He would arrive on the job in a timely manner, and was pleasant and friendly. He would organize his area and begin the assemble the cabinets. He took pride and care as he glued the cabinets for extra strength and hung them one at a time as they were assembled. He cleaned up as he went along, and he did not leave dust everywhere. Bob addressed any concerns I had about the install. Also, he gave me advice on purchasing an over the range microwave, and I am glad he did because I like it better than a range hood and microwave cabinet. Bob was hired through cabinets to go to install my kitchen. It has been a disappointing experience. First, he did not show on the days in which he said. During the installation he was less than professional with how he spoke to me and my family. I am currently waiting on him to finish the installation of my kitchen that started in December 2018. He has to fix a door that he built crooked, fix misplaced drill holes, and install a roll out. He had me sign his paperwork to get paid in December and when I wrote that he was not finished on the paperwork he told me he would White it out to get paid. Last week 2/1/2019, he texted that he would be back to finish the job. This week he says I owe him $750 when in fact I paid Cabinets To Go in FULL before Bob would step foot in my kitchen. I am currently living with an unfinished kitchen. Bob has been atrocious to deal with. Lastly, based on his communication he indicated he will not be back to finish my kitchen.

We purchased a set of cabinets from Cabinets to Go w/ installation. Bob was our cabinet installer. He did a great job. Top skills being communication, adaptability, timely, organized, knowledgeable on product & process. Starting with just measurements of our kitchen, he took the time to come over and check measurements and made suggestions & adjustments & was very patient with all of our questions. I must say we have a modest 1950's home with many quirks, we had done the demolition of the orginal cabinets ourselves, the walls were not plumb-but with all that being said Bob did a wonderful job adapting to our home & its measurements. Throughout the entire process he explained the products, what he was doing, why he would make an adjusment and if I was ok with any changes. He also let me know daily of his arrival time, responded promptly to answer any questions & gave me updates on the status of a few replacement parts. Once complete & the countertop people came to measure, the were very happy with Bob's work & that it was level & ready on the spot for countertop installation. There were a few hiccups- but I was most appreciative for his honesty & communication- letting me know how he rectified the issue & followed up timely making sure I was kept in the loop. We are thankful for the great experience with Bob as he worked around our schedule & holidays, provided an excellent installation experience, and made us feel at ease that we would have a beautifully installed set of cabinets as the base of our beautiful new kitchen. Thank you for a great job Bob. We would absolutely reccomend your services to anyone.

I am a kitchen designer at Cabinets To Go in Pittsburgh. I have been working with Bob since 6/18. When my customers do not want to do the job themselves, Bob is my go to guy. I have found him to be very professional and knowledgeable. I know when he goes out to do a measurement for me it will be accurate and my customer will feel at ease. If you need a cabinet installer you have found your man!
