We are new in town, and Dave Hathaway of Renowned Renovations was highly recommended to us for a major kitchen overhaul. The project was challenging because we were keeping some elements of the existing kitchen, and needed, for example, to match an existing floor with a new floor, work with a wood restorer who was refinishing cabinets, etc; and because this is a second home, we were out of town for much of the project. Dave and his crew are all consummate professionals, and quickly gained our confidence and trust. They were dependable, friendly, interested in our vision for the space and in our ideas, honest and honorable, and amazing craftsmen. They worked closely with us while we were out of town, with frequent phone calls, texts, and FaceTime, and were flexible when things didn’t go quite as planned, and we needed to pivot. They worked with multiple subcontractors closely and we always felt they had our back. We trusted them completely with our home, and the finished kitchen is just amazing, and it’s everything we hoped it would be. We’ve already given Dave a deposit for our master bathroom renovation, and are looking forward to working again with him. And we really feel like we have good friends in Ithaca. Many thanks to Dave, Brent, and Andy for a wonderful experience with this renovation.

We have worked with RR for two large home projects- renovating our main bathroom and completely gutting and renovating our finished basement including adding a full bath. David and his team are highly professional and excellent craftsmen. They took care and pride in their work, and always kept us informed as well as answered our questions thoroughly; fully engaging us in the entire process. With David being a contractor, he also did all the work of identifying and bringing in other specialists like plumber, electrician, and excavator, without us having to do all that legwork, and he made sure to oversee everything they did to ensure quality work. He also bore the brunt of working with the codes inspector and getting permits; doing the best he could to keep our projects moving forward with minimal lag times and to keep us within the original projected budget as much as possible. We simply couldn’t be happier with their work! We highly recommend David and his RR team for your home jobs, but you’re gonna have to get in line behind us because we are already planning new projects to do with them :-). Derek and Erin

He pays attention to details and thinks the process through carefully, and he cleans up at the end of each day!! He did a complete makeover of my kitchen and a few other projects around the house. It is our pleasure to recommend David Hathaway for home remodeling projects. Mr. Hathaway was working with another contractor when we first met him six years ago. The project was a to-the-studs renovation of the kitchen. While disruptive not to have use of the kitchen for a month, it was satisfying to see the work progress on a daily basis and to be completely aware of the quality of the work. We valued the craftsmanship of each of the workers. Mr. Hathaway was one of the main workers on that project; he was courteous and attentive to detail. Two years later, we used the same contractor for a to-the-studs renovation of the bathroom. For that project, Mr. Hathaway was the primary worker. In addition to our awareness of Mr. Hathaway's craftsmanship, we observed his careful instruction to a younger worker. After Mr. Hathaway started Renowned Renovations, we asked him to undertake several small projects at our home. Again, the quality of his work was exceptional. He also has a warm and engaging personality and good sense of humor, which make working with him a pleasant experience.

David Hathaway is excellent. He has done extensive renovation work for both my home and my parent's home. His work is top-notch, he is on-time, courteous, professional, and very, very good. He continues to be our first-choice contractor for work on our house. Highly recommended.
