FineLine Kitchens, Inc. came through on a challenging but modest project in Herndon, Virginia. From design to execution, they had an eye for detail. Sarah, the designer, had oodles of patience with my elderly mother – an octogenarian who lives on her own – who was overwhelmed and reluctant to remodel both her bathrooms and kitchen to be senior friendly. Sarah took the extra time to help her see the full remodel in 3D, color images and to allow her to touch samples in her own showroom (and visit third-party showrooms) before she finalized choices on materials, fixtures, and products. And, she kept to the strict budget my mother was working with. Dwain, who oversaw construction, was equally patient with my mother, who requested frequent on-site visits. His extra on-site time helped bring her peace of mind during the time away from during the course of the five weeks they completely overhauled a kitchen, master bath, and hall bath. While the final touches are technically senior friendly – i.e., soft-close cabinets and drawers, shower features that easy to grasp, a shower seat that does not stand visually – every detail has a present-day design appeal. Sarah and Dwain are a fantastic duo! They renovated my kitchen and master bath about two years ago when I was in a townhome and the results were amazing. From design idea to completion we couldn't be happier with the work from FineLine! We were ready to update our kitchen, but due to our open floor plan the remodel ended up with our whole main floor. Sarah's vision was amazing! She redesigned the layout for our kitchen and our laundry room and had a great eye for everything from cabinets, to fixtures to flooring! Dwain's teams were wonderful! Overall FineLine Kitchens started great. We really enjoyed meeting and working with Sarah and her husband. They were our first pick out of five companies after the initial meeting. They took measurements and we talked about our budget and goals for the kitchen and two bathrooms. We went out to Chantilly to have our first appointment and Sarah had a beautiful design prepared for the kitchen and one bathroom. The bathroom colors were way off from what we discussed but she agreed to redesign it and said she would get to the guest bathroom design soon. She did not have the bathroom estimates prepared at that point and agreed to send them along with a typed up estimate for the kitchen. The original kitchen estimate was higher by about $28,000 than the original budget we talked with her about, and she wanted us to move a door to the garage which we didn't want to move. Once we let her know we couldn't move the door, she redesigned one side of the kitchen and followed up with us once to see if we had any feedback. We gave her some minor edits and let her know we had to figure out a way to bring the cost down to our budget - and asked again if she could provide an estimate for the bathrooms which we had not seen yet to determine the overall project cost. It has been two weeks and I've followed up twice and have not heard from anyone at FineLine. We were disappointed with the overall process. We had high hopes for FineLine based on reading reviews and seeing their work.

The results were amazing, especially my master bathroom. The design was extremely tricky but Sarah and Dwain were able to deliver great results regardless. Sarah and I really connected on the design and she was beyond helpful when I was trying to figure out what style I wanted. I hired this company for our kitchen renovation based on houzz, google and yelp reviews. My daughter and I went to have the initial discussion with Adam and Sarah and were very impressed instantly. In January 2017 we decided to remodel our kitchen. This was going to be a major project: gutting the current kitchen, knocking down a load bearing wall, deleting windows, replacing exterior siding, and generally opening up a large portion of the first floor. In order to push beyond these staid designs, we decided to purchase a design consultation from Fineline Kitchens. This turned out to be the best decision we could have made. Sarah and Dwain were professional and enthusiastic, and immediately understood what we were trying to do with the house. Sarah’s design was genius, and used the available space to perfection. During this initial process, Fineline was the only firm that noticed several elements of the space that would present major challenges. In fact, their attention to detail ensured we were armed with important knowledge when reviewing other proposals. Design: Extremely personalized, creative, and inspired. Sarah designed a contemporary kitchen, but with timeless elements, and they worked together to create what would be an awesome space. Sarah provided consultation on all our materials choices. This was important because she is obviously aware of trends, but also guided us on features appropriate to our location and environment. She was either present or on the phone during all major decisions, and was a strong advocate for our interests. Construction: Fineline’s employees were all courteous, considerate, and extremely skilled. They easily overcame the typical issues that come up during any major project. Workmanship was top notch, and Fineline used the latest materials and techniques. Dwain managed to work with several of our difficult requests, and maintain a pace that was appropriate to the work being done. He was always respectful, and projected confidence during what can be precarious times: when the entire first floor is gutted down to frame and plywood, or when a small but essential part is missing from an installation kit on a key feature. Dwain and Daniel always kept the project moving in a positive way. Value: Considering the work being done, Fineline provided an excellent remodeling value. We can’t recommend them enough. We contracted FineLine Kitchens to remodel a 1940s kitchen for our daughter in law. It was our son’s and his wife’s third anniversary and we thought we would do something special for them. There was also and hour with an interior designer included in the cost of the contract, and that was very helpful in picking out materials and colors. They did the job exactly as I had hoped, and were done sooner than I expected. I would absolutely recommend them for similar work! I felt that I was always treated fairly and with respect, and that they really worked hard to make everything just as I wanted it.

Fineline did a total kitchen remodel, including design, removal of old cabinets and appliances, removal of a wall between kitchen and family room, installation of new cabinets, plumbing, new appliances, granite countertops, tile backsplash, and light fixtures. They also designed and installed a bar, pantry cabinets and an arched entry into the family room. All work was done well and completed according to schedule (approx. 6 weeks). Fineline's staff was wonderful. Dwain was extremely helpful and patient in working thru the design. The work crew was hard working, pleasant, and trustworthy. We could not be happier with the results.

From beginning to end Dwain and his crew worked to a schedule that minimized the inconvenience of not having a workable kitchen. We were also impressed with Dwain and staff in their responsiveness to phone calls– a big plus. We always knew the daily schedule and were informed of any unforeseen changes, if any. Dwain kept the work flow organized and at a pace that completed the job in less than six weeks while maintaining quality workmanship! In the office, the experienced personnel were just as great. Fineline completed a remodel of my master bathroom. Dwain and his team (Sarah and Aiman) were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Dwain answered all of my questions and was very responsive to emails, which I really appreciated, as this was my first renovation and I had a lot of questions. Once on-site, Sarah was great about keeping me updated and staying in touch about all of the details, so that everything turned out exactly how I was hoping it would. The project went really smoothly. Even though I live in a small condo, the guys are used to dealing with confined spaces and really minimized the inconvenience to my wife and me by keeping the "work area" segregated from our living space. They were very clean and professional throughout the project. The project finished ahead of time and on budget. Everything looks really beautiful: the tile work, plumbing fixtures, paint, additional lighting, etc. The old bathroom was like a dark cave with fake travertine tile that absorbed all of the light. The new bathroom is bright and airy, even though it does not have windows! I am also so happy that I decided to get rid of the bathtub and put in a large walk-in shower. The old bathtub was just a dust collector that I used to store toilet paper and paper towels--now, my old, tiny shower is a practical linen closet that I can use for all of my storage needs, and the new shower is something befitting the master bath. I'm so pleased with my new bathroom and highly recommend Fineline.

I recently used FineLine Kitchens for a bathroom remodel. I am more than happy with the beautiful results. I had some vague ideas of what I wanted and Dwain offered a few suggestions that would keep me within - actually under - my budget while blending in nicely with the rest of the places style. My interactions with Dwain and his team were very positive and professional and they were always punctual and cleaned up. These guys are great! Every detail from beginning to end. Dwain met us twice to pick the correct stone to use in our kitchen. He was very patient as we were between several granite slabs. Within a couple of weeks the installers came and they did an excellent job. They took their time and made sure the job was perfect. The pricing was incredible. I will gladly recommend FineLine Kitchens to all my friends for granite, marble and quartz counters and complete kitchen and bath remodels. I plan to use them in the future. 5 Stars all the way! Excellent. From the first minute I met Sarah, she brought personality into the project. I knew the difference between others, coming into our home just wanting to sell cabinets and make a quick buck, and the way Sarah displayed care and passion for her customers. She brings a warm welcome to a business agreement. Her creative design depicted the best design offered with the highest quality product. Her ability to fit multiple cabinets: sliding drawers, multiple shelving, spice rack, tilt drawer, refrigerator wrap and island gave me the most cabinets ( all wood - real wood!) for the small space and limited budget. The granite is beautiful - the best and most quality product for our money. Her work crew were quiet and meticulous. They were extremely patient and respectful with our "in the center of the work area" animals. Working around our busy schedules, this crew set up the "saw area" in the driveway. In and out of our home, they were careful with maintaining security while providing blankets for protection in the walkways. Everyone knows how a make shift kitchen is unbearable, however, the timing to complete this project was earlier than expected. Much earlier! This was a bonus. Thank you Sarah, Dwain and crew! I will recommend your company to my family and friends!

Dwain ,Sarah, Airman and crew are true pros. Sarah came out to the house and measured and took photos. She had great ideas of how to transform our 1980's kitchen into a modern marvel. The demo and construction were done in the cleanest neatest way that I have ever seen. Great care was taken to make sure that as little mess was made as possible. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail is outstanding. The work was completed ahead of schedule and we could not be happier with our experience. Did we mention we LOVE our new kitchen!

Working with FineLine Kitchens was a great experience! Aiman was patient and very helpful while guiding me through the design and estimate process. At one point I was stuck because I needed just one new cabinet and couldn't find an exact match with my existing cabinets. Aiman came up with an innovative idea that worked out really well. We went with a slighter darker cabinet and then replaced another small cabinet so that the effect would be intentional. I love the way it turned out!!! Dwain and his crew were wonderful: punctual and very clean. The work was completed on time and within budget and we love it!
