Steve's Millworks & Handyman

Steve was very efficient and courteous in performing his work. He resurfaced our garage ceiling which cost less than his initial bid. Also he painted our basement stairs ceiling in less time than his bid. We wish he had stayed in St. Louis.

Steve replaced old rotted posts for the pergola over for my patio, and added lattice siding, which provides more privacy on my patio and greatly adds to the beauty of my yard and patio area. My patio now feels like a little gazebo located off the back of my home from my family room. I am very happy with Steve's work. In other work, Steve replaced and enhanced the design of posts on my front porch, which made them much more attractive. Steve's work is excellent, well-priced, and he is very professional and courteous.

I needed some small but detailed woodworking projects completed around the house in order to put it on the market. I first contacted Steve because of his Angie's List reputation and the fact that he was a small company (he and his wife). I had a gutter that had ruined some wood fascia boards, water damaged window frame, and a leaking bay window that needed a exterior base and support system. He showed up on time to our scheduled appointment. Came prepared to discuss and review the work needed to get done. He gave me his recommendations and reviewed his approach to solving the problem as well as his timeline estimate. He started working that day and the job(s) took just over 3 days to complete. His work overall was top-notch. His problem solving, craftsmanship and ability to execute against my particular demands was great. The exterior of the rotten window frame was completely replaced and painted. It matched the design of the original window exactly and was a super tight fit. He re-engineered the base of the bay window giving it a solid support system and making it too look original to the craftsman style of my home. I do need to mention that he is honestly one of the nicest guys I've ever done work with. I felt entirely safe and comfortable leaving my home open to him to complete his work.

Used Steve to build a a couple of shelves and cabinets. He was able to build what was requested while matching the style and stain of the existing woodwork in the house. Would definitely use Steve again on future projects.

We were looking for someone to re-build a wall in our home to allow access to a new storage area under the stairs, and luckily we found Steve. We could not be more pleased with the finished job. Steve exceeded our expectations with his meticulous attention to detail and his willingness to keep things CLEAN. Steve is a true craftsman that we would not hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting to have their project done right.
