We found Vernon Sexton to be very creative, listened to all wish lists and design requests and seamlessly incorporated them into an ideal design on a very challenging lot. Vernon brings a long established and respected career to the table. He works closely with all contractors and is diligent in bringing his design to a successful conclusion. He works well within budget constraints and is dedicated to meeting timelines. Vernon's attitude is nothing short of warm and professional. When faced with a tough decision to change builders during final design stages, he welcomed the new builder and worked to ensure a seemless transition. Additionally, he worked to move the project through a confusing and ever changing permit process. Vernon has been invaluable in coordinating and expediting through city planning. While looking for styles of home to build, I drove by one I really liked. A little research with Google maps and Deschutes County Records led me to the architect Vern Sexton. With a little more digging, I found he was the architect for Mt. Bachelor Resort lodge, geez, I could pick 'em!!!! After our first house design planning meeting I knew I had the right person. We made only few changes after the first draft as he got it spot on from the beginning. Vern was there, on site, almost daily throughout the building process. Even afterwards, he helped me secure all necessary permits for accessory dwelling unit. The house is a head-turner and all guests are awed at the simple, but elegant mid-century style. If I ever build another home, Vern would again be my architect. I can thnk of no greater satisfaction and compliment to his work.

Vern is a wonderful architect, a seasoned designer and a dedicated problem solver. He has a keen knowlege of construction and intimately understands what's required to complete a project. We have worked together for over 10 years and during that time have completed several projects. He's productive and gets his work done in a timely manner. Vern's range of experience is impressive having compelted hundreds of commercial and residential projects. I would recommend Vern and his team for any project a homeowner, contractor or developer is considering.

Vern Sexton was very easy to work with, provided great preliminary conceptual ideas based upon our input and then designed the house exactly as we had discussed. Vern conducted several site visits before we hired him and continued to be actively engaged with us and the builder throughout the entire build timeline. When completed, he came by several times to check in with us to ensure we were happy with our new home. I give Vern our highest recommendation and observed him to be extremely professional and honest. On top of all that, he is an excellent architect!
