Our shower redo Shipley and Sons completed in our home in a timely manner, with quality workmanship and attention to details plus on budget truly exceeded our expectations. Waddell Household: My father in law found Chris based on his high ratings when we decided to build out our carport. Very glad we used his team for this project! On time and under budget even with the typical unknowns that pop up during construction! One example was one of the carport columns not being properly seated within the ground. On the fly, Chris braced the carport roof, extended the new stem wall underneath the existing column and added a new column to support that corner of the garage all within a day to keep the project moving forward. We'll use Chris for our next project!

We used Shipley and Sons for our master bath remodel. Chris was open to the vision that we had for the end result. I find that this is very important to have someone that gives good input and also strives to make it happen! From the first consult we knew Chris would be who we wanted to go with. We had a couple of set backs getting our tile but he was patient with me while I decided on what we ended up using. His work is fantastic and quality! My mother and I worked with Chris Shipley on a large remodel of her Sun City home. He was very professional, kept you informed and was easy to work with. He gave an estimate that he kept to. If there were any change orders it was discussed up front and we were given choices if it was more or less than the estimate. He was super accommodating about my mom not wanting to move out of the home so he figured out a way to complete everything in stages. I selected Shipley & Sons to do several projects in my home. Chris was very professional, had a transparent quoting system, and solid communication throughout the process of these projects. The initial remodel of my master bathroom included some structural changes such as moving walls, removing soffits, and implementing a curbless shower. You can tell that Chris takes the time to put quality workers on his projects. I was extremely impressed with their attention to detail, keeping within my budget, and sticking to the timeline. I had thrown a few curve balls at them with my design but they were true professionals and made the difficulty of remodeling a much less stressful experience for me. I LOVE my new kitchen. Chris did a fabulous job and I plan on using him for several other projects. Chris was courteous and and answered all of my questions. Chris always answered my calls and emails in a very timely manner. I will recommend Chris to family, friends and neighbors.

My husband and I are extremely happy with our remodel which started in July and ended in December...6 months. Chris and his crew remodeled our house which included our kitchen, moving cabinets, adding a much bigger island and extending the kitchen to the dining room with an additional island, all new appliances, filtered pot filler, ice-maker, new lighting, hanging pendants, new sink, raised ceiling, new windows, replaced lots of drywall, and all new flooring. The kitchen renovation is our favorite part of our remodel! One of the biggest jobs was to get rid of our atrium and replace the saltillo tile throughout our entire home with wood tiles. Chris had great companies to recommend when choosing our flooring and countertops. We lived in our home during the remodel. We have the advantage of an air conditioned garage which is where we worked. It worked for us but I think it would not work for most people. You have to be okay with a lot of mess (saltillo tile removal) and noise which is to be expected. Honestly, I was surprised at how well Chris and his crew were able to clean up every day after their work. Chris checked and double-checked the little things. As homeowners, we would not have known the small things that can make a big difference like the distance from the stove to the countertops. He'd map it out for us which prompted us to change a couple of things that we appreciate everyday! We made both kitchen islands bigger than we originally planned and Chris was able to order a bigger piece of quartz to make that happen. Chris even chose our paint color and we liked it so much that we used it throughout the house. Chris is a good listener. He is patient and never makes you feel rushed. He communicates clearly and daily. My husband and I had a lot of fun looking at pics to get ideas for our kitchen. We shared that with Chris and he made it happen. When I read about remodels before our project, I was constantly reminded about how much more it will cost that originally planned. My husband and I had the mindset that we would stick to our plans. BUT...that was not the case and the cost was triple than what we thought. This is not because of Chris, it is simply because we extended our project and also came across things like replacing moldy drywall that we didn't anticipate, or adding baseboards throughout the house, or choosing bigger countertops, or more expensive windows, adding beams, etc. Best to plan out the details more effectively in the beginning so the changes/charges are not added but I am just not sure there is any avoiding it. I highly recommend Chris who ensures that your choices are done smoothly! Very professional!

We hired Shipley and Sons to close in the front porch and make it into a den/office. I did a lot of research and Chris was the most qualified in my opinion. He and his crew did excellent workmanship, very professional and the quality of work was exceptional! Chris was always on site and made sure everything was done correctly. Our project was a 3000 sf total interior renovation. We gut renovated the kitchen, 3 bathrooms main hallway and added new hardwood floors, carpet, doors, windows, new paint both interior and exterior and much more...the finish work was excellent, his subcontractors and crew were excellent as well. Chris gave us many suggestions along the way which spot on and often times a less expensive option. Change orders were handled smoothly and cost effectively. We are incredibly happy with way the house turned out and have received several compliments from neighbors and friends. My wife and I have renovated numerous homes over the years using different contractors...Chris stands out way above the others. He is hard working, smart, experienced and most importantly honest. We are so happy that we met and picked him. He has our highest recommendation.

Chris does amazing work. Communication is great and his crews are courteous when working and neat. work is completed in time frame. just wonderful!. Price is excellent. He has so much knowledge about construction. My bathroom re-model and walk in shower came out beautifully. We will be hiring Chris again to do some tile work downstairs in the spring.

Chris and his crew did an entire house renovation for us this summer. Among other things, they added bi-fold doors to the back of the house (which required re-engineering a wall). gutted, enlarged and redesigned a bathroom, reconfigured some kitchen cabinets and added quartz counter tops, remodeled the master bath, and added two large sets of cabinets. All of the work was done while I was out of town. Chris did an excellent job of communicating with me and updating me on progress. We are thrilled with the results and would HIGHLY recommend Shipley & Sons.

Chris did a great job remodeling our bathroom. He patiently helped us find granite, a bathtub, fixtures, glass work that were not only very attractive, but also fit our existing decor and our budget. He was very "hands on" throughout the project, doing a good deal of the work himself. His subs were excellent workers who came early and worked late, to finish the project. When there were delays, Chris was explained them honestly and work resumed when he said it would. He also helped us fix a few small problems that were outside the scope of the project without charge. We have the highest praise for him.

We were nervous about taking on a huge project and finding the right company for the job, but Shipley and Sons was definitely the right company for us. They were very professional, good natured, and did above and beyond work on our kitchen. It turned out better than we had hoped. We hired Shipley & Sons to redo our shower and tub surround in our master bathroom. The project included removing the old glass, cultured marble and tub pan, replacing the drywall, and tiling the shower and tub surround, and installing new glass and fixtures. Chris was very professional and personable. He made sure that he was there to introduce us to all the workers on the job, so we never had to worry about strange people in our house. He went out of his way to make sure the job site was clean and caused minimal inconvenience, even for a master bath. He also did an excellent job of communicating every step of the process, when it would be finished and what the next step was. We also had no issues changing the start time each day due to commitments with our kids. The project ran into a small snag part way through and Chris went above and beyond to complete a section on his own to make sure the job was done on time. On top of being good people to do business with, Shipley & Sons did awesome work! The finished product is everything we hoped it would be! The price, workmanship and working relationship made this project a great value. I've already recommended Shipley & Sons to a couple of friends and would again. I would also hire them again to work on my house.

Chris is a very good contractor. He listens to the customer and has good ideas to add. His work is very high quality. And he is very responsive to any pick-up work remaining at the end of a job. We've used Chris on three different occasions that has included complete remodels on a Casita, a bathroom, a kitchen and a den/dining room reconfiguration. We have more work to do and will be inclined to use him again.

We had a pipe break in our master bedroom and they did a great job repairing water damage and doing some updates for us. The project took a little longer than we were initially told but the crew worked very hard and the end result was great. We will definitely use them again.

Shipley and Son's enclosed an open den and converted it into a home office by adding walls, windows and sliding pocket doors. Mr. Shipley was always on time. He completed the project on time and within the bid and did an excellent job and kept me updated on the progress of the work while I was on vacation. We found Shipley & Sons Const., by searching the web for contractors in our area. Our need was add approximately 15 feet to our garage. We did research, used common sense and asked all the right questions of our perspective contractors. *** YOU NEED TO DO THIS AS WELL*** We interviewed two other contractors for this project. We were impressed by the "on-site" resume and were provided with many references. A no nonsense approach was taken, and breakdown of information, to include change orders (if needed), the use of a structural engineer, the requirements of obtaining proper permits and like. Nothing was hidden during our process and if needed proper and satisfactory explanations were given. After selecting Shipley and Sons, we were given a time table, to include start and end dates and site survey and project building plans. Benchmarks were set (goals) and the list was shown to us. Sub-contractors were called upon for concrete, electrical and so forth. I took vacation during for the major phases of this project including deconstruction, concrete pour for footings, slab and sidewalk. This was followed by framing, rough electrical, and finish drywall, stucco, roofing, and inspections along the way. I participated in much of the manual labor and in doing so, I learned a lot from our contractor and the sub-contractors. We took photographs during our project, which were helpful and showed the quality of work by during our project. Several follow-up site visits were made by Shipley and Sons to ensure our project was successful. Mr. & Mrs. Judd

I recently hired Chris Shipley to remodel my personal home in Surprise, Arizona. He was referred to me by a close neighbor who had recently hired him to remodel their home. I inspected the work he did for my neighbor who recommended him highly. I then hired him to remodel mine. He did the entire job while I was away for four months. We first met in person on the jobsite and finallized the plans. While I was away, we communicated via e-mail, phone, and pictures during that time. Chris is professional, honest, and did a great job, on time, and within the budget we had set. I highly recommend him.

Absolutely happy with all jobs, both small and large, that Chris and his crew have done for me and my mother. I have had numerous tasks and jobs that Shipley and Sons have taken care of. The small one was fixing my mother's disposal. It was really causing a mess. I called Chris in the afternoon and he stopped, the same day, after work and fixed it. One of the big jobs he did was to install a special shower for my mom. She is in a wheel chair and her shower was just not working for her and her care giver. It was too small, and difficult to get in which made it very dangerous. Shipley and Sons, completely re-did the shower in the guest bath. Marble was used for the sides, it accommodated a special shower wheelchair, added handles and a special faucet. The job was exceptional, performed in a timely manner and the crew was always polite and respectful. Chris was our general contractor for a three room house addition. We added two bedrooms, and a bathroom and remodeled one existing room. This included new construction. HVAC, wiring, roofing, flooring, plumbing finishing, etc. The addition and remodel are seamless and very well executed. All workers were professional and considerate while on the job site. The few hiccups that are likely with a project of this scale were all resolved quickly. The project took a little longer than estimated but the final result was well worth it. Chris was also happy to work with us on finishes while staying close to budget. Chris was able to help us with finishing decisions that look great with our existing house. Chris is a courteous professional who was trustworthy and quick to respond to our wants and concerns. I am very pleased with the quality of work and the price that Chris Shipley had provided me during my various remodeling projects during 2014 and also 2015. They included a Bar remodel, Bamboo Flooring installed throughout my 1850 sq. ft house and Master Bath Remodel. My first encounter with Shipley & Sons was through Angies List when I purchased a Handy Man for the Day. That was my first experience with Randy Rayl who remodeled a bar area within 8 hours. I watched him in amazement how experienced and meticulous he performed his craft. I was sold and asked Chris for a price on installing a bamboo floor throughout the house. I had received two other quotes for my flooring project and Chris won the bid because of my past experience with his company. Randy was the main carpenter when I have my floors redone and I specifically asked for him when my bathroom was remodeled. He is a master tradesman and I trusted him to come and go into my house without even being there at times. He listened to my wants and needs and was always pleasant, professional, accommodating and hard working. Tim installed the tile for the shower, tub, and even around my fireplace and it was perfect. I have recommended Chris to others who are looking for contractors and will hire him again on future remodels.

Shipley construction did my kitchen bathrooms garage wood siding on the outside of the house and carpets great quality work !!! honestly not 100% but 110% satisfied !!!! everything was perfectv !!!!!!!

From beginning to end the contractor exceeded expectations. All Bids were complete, reviewed completely and submitted in timely manner. Consideration was given to the process and cost. The expertise of the contractor ensured the job was done correctly meeting all engineering inspections without issue. All subcontractors introduced to the project were equally professional completing their tasks in less time than projected with no 'residue' or contractor debris left behind. The job site was left clean, quality materials were used and follow-up occurred at each stage of the project. I would definitely recommend Shipley & Sons Construction and will keep them in my contacts for future projects.

My original contractor was not able to deliver on what I wanted for a fireplace mantle. Chris Shipley was recommended to me, I called and set an appt. What I wanted was really out of the box and Chris was able to deliver a 110%. He was not only presented with a challenge of what I wanted but had to work with what the previous contractor had left behind. He did the work in a very timely manner. I could not be happier and I receive MANY compliments on my fireplace mantle. It's a piece of art. Chris has done other smaller jobs for me and he is always my go to guys. I have a rental remodel coming up and he's on the job. I highly recommend. UPDATE: April 2015 Shipley & Sons did a remodel on one of my rental homes. They had a very short window of time to complete the job as I already had the house re-rented. It was between tenants. They completely removed all existing flooring and put down the most beautiful tile through out the house and new carpet in the bedrooms. They updated all the baseboards to 4" baseboards, re-painted entire house. It looked amazing! I will ALWAYS work with Chris Shipley. He does amazing work, stays on schedule and sent me to his flooring people who helped me pick out amazing flooring all while staying in my budget. You can't go wrong.

We trust Chris so completely that we gave him a key to our house so that he could do the bedroom/bathroom remodel while we were away. He kept us totally in touch with the project, solving the inevitable problems that come up when you start taking out walls. His ideas and suggestions were often big improvements over our original plans. He was on time, on budget, and always concerned with exceeding our expectations. His firm has completed a den changeover to bedroom, and revision of our entertainment area, and most recently a larger project to fully remodel our kitchen. Professional drawings and renderings were provided to help us with finalizing the layout, an accurate initial estimate was offered and updated as any changes occurred in the process. Throughout the project communication and updates were provided on a timely basis as we are absentee owners. After completion and our review of the project we found a couple of minor items that needed attention. Mr. Shipley came within a few days and saw to it all was completed to our full satisfaction. We are extremely happy with the look and function of our new kitchen and have received many complements on its beauty and the value it has added to our home.

We bought an older home. None of the doors lined up so the outside air was coming in thru every door. Shipley & Sons realigned every door to the outside in my house, plus 2 sets of inside doors (12 of them total) in just one day and within the cost they had quoted. Also, the wooden fence around the pool equipment needed replacing and Shipley & Sons did that in one day also. They brought sections already constructed and just had to put them together here. It looks beautiful and is much more sturdy than the previous fence. I would definitely recommend Shipley & Sons to others.
