Solstice Kitchen and Bath

I love my new kitchen, Derek and Scott were a pleasure to work with and helped me to and end result that is exactly what I dreamed about. They modified the floorplan, even added a new steel support beam in order to accomplish the look I was going for.

Loved working with this group. As difficult as a kitchen renovation can be, I really appreciated working with Derek, Scott and Keli. I think 2 of the key factors were time spent in the beginning of the process and communication during it. I really felt Derek listened to me during the design phase and made appropriate suggestions. I didn't feel rushed even though I know this is a busy office. Keli sent me websites and to stores to see the cosmetic finishes but handled all the ordering. I feel she helped me focus on things I liked but also has the bigger view on how it all fits together or the "long range view". Scott organizes the actual work crews who were all pleasant and professional. I knew the 5 week timeline and they met it. I like alot of communication and sometimes on a given day would have liked to know that no one was coming til 11am (for example) just because it can be difficult to have people in and out of your house but if nothing was happening that day (waiting on cabinets or granite etc) I knew that. That's probably a lot of "me" arranging my day and wouldn't bother other people. ^ Months after we finished, I still love everything about my new kitchen. I will say they were not the cheapest quote (about $3000) but I felt I had the best relationship with them even during the planning process and I had a good feeling about them responding to me during the renovation. Two companies were very pushy, one other not responsive even during planning and wasn't offering suggestions/alternatives to my requests and I thought this could make a difficult time even worse so I felt it was worth it.

Solstice was an amazing team to work with. Derek listened to us and really understood our vision and Scott and the crew did a great job implementing that vision. They were on time, quick, thorough, and great about keeping the work area safe and clean so living through a kitchen remodel with an 18 month old was as painless as could be. In addition Derek was also great at pointing out some great ideas we hadn't thought of to really take our kitchen to another level. We couldn't be happier with our kitchen and we can't wait to work with Solstice again when we remodel our upstairs bathrooms!

Solstice came highly recommended by 3 separate friends, and I would hire them again. Our kitchen was finished on time, on budget, and looks great. Everyone at Solstice behaved professionally, and they were quick to respond to questions and concerns. I was also impressed with the care they took to minimize mess and to clean up every day and at the end of the project.

Solstice Kitchen and Bath performed a complete kitchen remodel in our home to include new cabinets, counter tops, appliances, floors and walls. Their first design proposal was spot on for what we wanted done. They expanded the kitchen space beyond what we thought was possible. Their craftsmanship and materials were of the highest quality. Solstice performed the work on schedule and started the project when promised. All of the employees were friendly and very professional and easy to work with. We had no limit on where we searched for flooring, faucet, cabinet knobs, tile and counter top. All of our friends and family were very impressed when they saw the remodeled kitchen. I would highly recommend Solstice to any who is looking for a new kitchen custom designed the way you want it to look and serve your needs.

Solstice Kitchen and Bath exceeded my expectations throughout the entire remodeling process. From the initial meeting and design process, from the start of the renovations to the completion, I was impressed with the professionalism and expertise of all the staff and contractors at Solstice Kitchen and Bath. Any questions I had were answered quickly, either by phone or email. Workers were prompt and always cleaned up after a day's work. When my moving schedule was moved up abruptly, Solstice adjusted their time frame to accommodate me...a lifesaver! The work not only involved a kitchen remodel, but the removal of walls, electrical outlets, and carpet, to create an open space floor plan. Solstice Kitchen and Bath provided a very detailed contract and yet left room for upgrades. I hope to have my master bath remodeled in the near future and will definitely be contacting Solstice Kitchen and Bath!

We have been extremely satisfied with Solstice Kitchen and Bath. We renovated our 20 year old kitchen last fall. From working with Derek on the design, Kelly on details and Scott on the actual project, all worked together for a great outcome. Their contractors were all equally professional. The project was completed in the time they estimated, which was a little over three weeks. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

We cannot say enough great things about our experience with Solstice Kitchen and Bath. From the consultation, design, estimate, and eventual completion of the job we knew at every step along the way we were dealing with professionals that knew how to deliver our dream master bath. They essentially ripped out an entire master bathroom, changed the complete configuration, and custom built everything from the shelving, walk in shower, corner bench, and dual sink vanity. Their attention to detail was impeccable and it turned out better than we even anticipated. We stayed well within our budget and the timeline for completion met our expectations given the enormity of the project. Their workers were always courteous, polite, respectful of our house and privacy, and we never had any doubt in trusting them working while we were not home. We look forward to having Solstice Kitchen and Bath come back and complete the other bathroom that also needs a total overhaul.

These people are the best there is! We are very pleased with workmanship. Danny Mercurio is especially good, works harder than most human beings!

The project was a remodel of our kitchen. The cabinets, granite and floor are amazing. We can't say enough about Derek Mahoney and Scott Dell. These guys are fabulous. They remodeled 3 bathrooms for me in one year (2012). All three remodels went down to studs and joists; in two out of three, I rearranged where the fixtures/plumbing were located and tore out or moved a wall. Each bathroom is as near perfect as I could imagine. And there was never a harsh word, never an argument. One co-owner is the design person. I had ideas, but he helped me plan the details. Every single detail is decided before the job starts; and the contract describes exactly what they will do, every fixture, every tile selection, every paint color, every everything, as well as (of course) the price and payment schedule. Then the work starts. The other co-owner is the job foreman and coordinator. He comes by the site most every day and is available anytime by phone or text and will come upon request if there's a need. For the work, Solstice uses top notch skilled craftsmen--the best plumber, the best tile man, the best electrician, the best carpenters/painters, etc. The tradesmen are technically subcontractors, but most of their work is for Solstice so the routines are smooth; and Solstice only subcontracts to their select group of experts. Solstice does all the coordination and scheduling among these folks, so everything gets done in the optimal sequence, though there's some down time sometimes between steps. Attitudes are A+. Always "can do" and pleasant. It took them 5 weeks to do my master bath, then (after a break for me) six weeks to do bathrooms 2 and 3 simultaneously. These times are for the work and don't include the planning time. If you want cheap and fast, go somewhere else; but if you want top quality and have the time, this is who you want to do your remodel.
