We met with Jason Strom a year ago to share exterior remodel ideas for our up north fixer-upper and a year later our project is complete and Jason and his team have done an exceptional job! I would recommend Spitzak Builders wholeheartedly if you are willing to pay a little more and have an outstanding quality result!

Having purchased a lake lot in Northern Minnesota, we found and contacted Spitzack Builders from Houzz. We met with Jason Strom to discuss our plans. We ultimately elected to go with a different builder that could meet our budget requirements.

We would highly recommend Spitzack Builders to anyone planning to build a new home. We worked directly with Mark Spitzack to design and build our lake home. Mark and his team listened carefully and shared many great ideas to customize the home design to maximize our views of the lake while efficiently utilizing every available space. We were very impressed with the quality and workmanship of the entire construction team, including their subcontractors, who were all easy to work with and took great pride in their work. We have been very pleased with their service after the sale as they promptly addressed a couple minor issues. We have proudly showed our home to several prospective Spitzack customers and through the building process Mark Spitzack has become a personal friend!

Mark Spitzack built a split-log, 3-level, 3-bedroom lake home for us on Leech Lake. Mark spent many hours working with us on floor plan and elevation ideas. He brought patience and a lot of very good ideas to the table. There were very few issues during the construction process and we're very happy with the final product. When we first started looking for a builder I asked two people for their opinions on who we should call first. The broker who helped us a buy our lot and a very well-known Leech Lake resort owner (at whose resort we stayed for 15 years) both mentioned Spitzack Builders first. I have, and will, also recommend Spitzack Builders.

Mark was creative in solving our kitchen remodel ( with just a little help from Les, his dad). The project included the kitchen remodel, deck railing, fix and repainted entire exterior, plus add a utility shed. Anything that wasn't perfect initially the first time was fixed immediately, and no surprises on the budget. If you're looking for cheap, go elsewhere. Mark hires only the best local tradespeople.
