We cannot say enough good things about Home Transformations. This father-and-son team brings together the rare combination of honesty, integrity, and exceptional workmanship that is hard to find. The father, an electrical engineer and general contractor, and his son, who has worked alongside him for years, are a true pleasure to work with. Over time, they have completed various projects for us, each executed beautifully, on time, and with impressive cleanliness. They replaced our aging wooden deck with stunning Trex composite slats, fully renovated all our bathrooms with exquisite attention to detail in tilework, carpentry, and lighting. They also created a gorgeous custom fireplace wall that has become the centerpiece of our living room. They have also installed a whole-house water softener system, upgraded our attic insulation, and provided yearly maintenance on our water heater, helping to prolong its life and maximize its efficiency. No matter the job size, they bring the same care, expertise, and commitment. Beyond their technical skill, what sets Home Transformations apart is their innovative approach to space and problem-solving. They have a real eye for maximizing both beauty and function. This is a very difficult review to write because I want to provide the good, the bad & the ugly of my experience but Houzz only gives you 3,000 characters for a review so I have to get to it. There are some pretty serious issues that I want to report so that other homeowners ask certain questions before proceeding but for this review, I am going to focus on the worst & most expensive situation which I am sick about. This was a complete bathroom renovation.Gutted.I selected all materials so was extremely happy with the appearance but the workmanship began to show its inferiority almost immediately. In fact, one day before completion, Home Transformations wanted me to check out the tile floor and, to my horror, every single square inch of the floor squeaked! I questioned this & they said they would fix it &, the next day, it did not squeak. I don't know what they did to remedy the situation. They highly recommended a new, revolutionary radiant heat product called Chill Out.They had used it in several other properties & it was great & cost less to run.I checked out the website & it claimed to provide a 10-year warranty which is kind of confusing because, once radiant heat is installed under tile, in order to replace, you have to rip out all of the tile. But, at this point, I was so confident in Home Transfrmations that I was not anticipating any catastrophies.Well, the radiant heat does not work properly & hasn't since the first time that I turned it on. The father came over & got down on his hands & knees to feel all of the cold spots and tried to convince me that it was because my room is over a crawlspace.It makes no sense because some of the tiles are getting perfectly warm & others are cold? I called the distributor of Chill Out to inquire about the 10 year warranty & he literally laughed uproariously saying, "It's a nothing! Unless you want to rip out your floor, I can't do anything." So, beware of that. Also, I now know that the reason for all the squeaking is that the floor was not laid properly, It's spongey & within a month, the grout began to crack & large chunks have been breaking out weekly.I tiptoe on the floor to try to prevent more cracking.It's abnormal. I can't have guests over because merely walking on the floor normally results in damage. I know a lot of people & have lived a long time & never encountered anyone who had a tile job that you can't walk on without cracking grout or radiant heat that didn't work..NEVER! I'm sure it happens but, as I said, I know a lot of people & this is not a common occurrence, Soon after HT completed my project & I was not yet aware of the bad tile job, the father & I discussed other small projects so, you can see, we left on good terms. However, while waiting for a quote on those tasks, I discovered the radiant heat problem & he came over to investigate & I saw that he realized they had made a mistake.He left that day & I have never heard from him again.The poor workmanship will cost me thousands.

We bought an 1850's farmhouse that needed a complete bathroom renovation, as well as many other renovations. Home Transformations was phenomenal throughout the process. They completed the bathroom renovations in September so we have lived with it for several months. The exceptional quality of their work has given us confidence to utilize them for our current kitchen remodel and any future renovations without reservation. When I told Steve about my concerns with them here with my husky, he immediately reassured me my dog would be their top priority while in our house. And he absolutely made sure she was. They were honest, letting us know when ceramic floor tiles were not the right choice even though it would have been more labor. They recommended a perfect alternative, which we are thrilled with. They were very responsive to our questions and ideas. We have recommended them to our neighbors and would recommend them to anybody without pause.

We meant to write this review MONTHS ago but better late than never and now we have truly lived with our kitchen and can report on how much we absolutely love it. Yeah Steve and Stephen are talented, kind and trustworthy. They did an amazing job and we couldn’t be happier. There were some major bumps along the road (not their fault- vendor issues!) and they were patient and creative in getting through the hiccups. Most importantly, you can trust their craftsmanship. The custom work these men can do is amazing! Even if you aren’t quite clear on your vision, Steve will help you figure it out to perfection. He is detail oriented and diligent. 100/100 we recommend the Kinneys!

I was lucky to grab Steve and his son to do my framing and drywall project in my basement. Steve was beyond professional, took all precautionary measures, and kept a consistent schedule and timeline. He was clean and the work done was beyond great. Pricing was great and payment structure was fair. I would hire again and again!

Steve was amazing! He communicated everything he was doing and when he would be at our house. He was very professional, cleaned up after himself and was respectful of our home. We would highly recommend Home Transformation. In addition, we love our bathroom! Steve also completed our dream kitchen 2 years ago which was a larger project and that’s why we called to complete another project for us. Thank you for everything!

Home Transformations, LLC is aptly named, as Steve and his son have truly "transformed" our home! Words cannot describe how happy my husband and I are with the projects that they have completed for us! In particular, installing a new staircase railing system, and renovating our basement family room, just to name a few. Our projects have posed challenges to Steve and his son, and they responded with professionalism, creativity, and ingenuity. We intend to keep challenging them, as more projects are in the works! There is NO other company that we would use for our home projects. And did we mention that they clean up after themselves?! We HIGHLY recommend Home Transformations, LLC, and appreciate the quality and beauty of the projects that have been completed.

Home Transformations did an amazing job on the remodel of my kitchen. This company did a fabulous job on our master bath renovation. They are very knowledgeable in every aspect of the job. They had some very helpful suggestions but never made us feel that we couldn’t go our own direction. We felt their pricing was right in line and gave us detailed estimates. They stayed within their time line. They also thoroughly cleaned up after themselves every day and were very courteous to keep any walkways they were using covered and clean. This company truly cares about doing a quality job and doing what the customer wants. I would highly recommend this company for any job you gave large or small.

Steve and his son were absolutely amazing. They do great work and are just great honest hard working guys. We gutted our kitchen and they came up with a great design and went the extra mile for perfection. The before and after pictures don;t even begin to tell the story. If you are looking for true professional who will work within your budget you don;t need to look any further as these are your guys. Steve also build our porch and handles all of the "handyman" tasks that I am unable to do myself. Thanks Steve I look forward to having you work on the other projects in the fall.

I hired Steve and his son to remodel my 28 year old kitchen. They completed the job in a month. They did an excellent job. Even when they ran into unforeseen problems , they handled it well. I could not have asked for a better contractor to work with. Everything was very well done and their knowledge helped my husband and I answer all of our questions. We are very happy with our kitchen.
