JD and his team were great throughout our entire build process. Integrity and professionalism alongside honest, strong work. Justin was our Project Manager and he was very organized and communicative throughout the entire process. Consistent meetings to review everything (and the inevitable changes that always occur when building) really helped. The amount of subs used throughout the project was A LOT to manage, but the team seemed to do it fluidly and without stress due to great, long-term relationships. Can't recommend S&B enough!

We recently worked with SB to build a new custom spec home in WR Estates. We signed the contract before permitting began, and the entire process was seamless and highly professional. My wife and I truly enjoyed every step of it, and we now have a beautiful home that we plan to enjoy for many years to come. We were actively involved in customizing finishes and selections, which made the experience even more rewarding. The subcontractors—from framers to electricians, plumbers, and beyond—were all outstanding tradespeople who delivered excellent work. Of course, no home build is without its challenges, including timing delays, material availability issues, and cost increases. Through it all, SB stayed fully committed and supported us every step of the way. Even after completion and move-in, they continued to impress with prompt follow-up and thorough warranty service for any needed adjustments. I would strongly recommend SB as a reliable and trustworthy general contractor for a custom home or major remodel project. JD, the owner, is exceptional to work with—responsive, fair, and dedicated to resolving any issues quickly and equitably.

From the very beginning, Sticks and Bricks Development exceeded every expectation. I started this project with zero experience in construction, no knowledge of how to build, where to start, or even how to find the right piece of land. JD was there from day one, meeting me at properties, answering countless calls, and helping me evaluate options until we found the perfect lot. The project was completed in approximately 18 months, which is remarkable given the size of the home and the strict building requirements in Paradise Valley. Even when timelines felt ambitious, they consistently delivered. When the project wrapped up, I honestly missed the daily collaboration, that’s how much I enjoyed working with this team. Sticks and Bricks stayed on budget, offered smart solutions when design or architectural costs started to escalate, and found ways to achieve a high-end finish without unnecessary expense. Most importantly, they delivered a beautiful, high-quality home. I would recommend Sticks and Bricks to anyone building in the Phoenix metropolitan area without hesitation. They are reliable, communicative, and exceptionally talented. I’m truly grateful to the entire team.

Builder acts extremely nice, they do quality work. But they are never in time always late delayed and have reasons for the delays! Take the time frame and almost double it. They don’t have enough workers / sub contractors so their homes take much longer to build

I constantly hear the horror stories that people go through with GCs. With JD, I never had a moment that I felt uneasy with his ethics. In the end, my house was done under budget and on time. JD has the intelligence and insight to take seemingly impossible concepts and turn them into reality. Not a day goes by that we do not look at our house and feel incredibly thankful that we were lucky enough to have hired JD.
