About Us

We are a 2nd generation family custom home building company with more than 40 years experience building new homes in Castle Rock, the Denver market and surrounding communities. We are dedicated to addressing 21st century conditions through intelligent architecture, authentic design and building practices. We consider ourselves a small-volume, boutique, luxury custom home builder. We have a true passion for building sustainable, smaller footprint, comfortable, one-of-a-kind luxury custom homes, on unique building sites, with modern features throughout the greater Douglas County area including Castle Rock, Sedalia, Larkspur, and Parker, Colorado. We choose projects that are fun, exciting, innovative, and incorporate great design. We understand that creative design coupled with exceptional craftsmanship comes from the heart. Without great design and craftsmanship, there is no reason for us to build.

We had always heard that building a home could be very stressful. Not so! Mr. Putnam made every decision so easy and sequenced them so we didn't get overwhelmed. The whole experience was very pleasurable. Everything was perfect upon completion and very high quality.

Working with Stone Aspen was an enjoyable experience from start to finish. The design, workmanship and professionalism is all top notch. We love living in our condo! Issues needing resolution were minor but all treated as important and resolved in a timely manner.

We were looking for a quality home in a scenic quiet area and David delivered for us in a fantastic way. The design of the interior maximized the space. The quality of work and finish was great. The views were wonderful. The few items we mentioned to him were dealt with quickly and all our concerns answered.

I have recently been asked if I would use Mr. Putnam as a builder. My response is that if I was to build another house I would try my best to engage Mr. Putnam. Having been in the construction industry for many years it is my opinion the David is among the best contractors in the residential home construction. Having lived in our current residence for approximately 11 years without any problems speaks well for his ability to produce an excellent product.

David (of Stone Aspen) built the show home that I've recently occupied. The home is wonderfully designed with excellent use of space and a high quality finish. David (still on site building a few remaining homes) has been great in working through a snagging list. Both prompt and attentive to detail.

From the beginning of the building process through the first year since completion, Dave has been always available, responsive and always delivers first class quality. David's homes are the highest quality at a very competitive price. He has a maniacal eye for the most finest detail in the product he delivers and his attention to that detail sets him apart. Commented: what is the difference in the two island levels?I built this home awhile ago and no longer have the cabinet layouts. However, if I remember correctly, the difference in the tops was 4 inches. Enough space to allow for the outlet. I hope that helps...
