We enlisted Talie Jane Interiors (TJI) to assist us with updating an outdated 1990’s Master Suite, which included the master bath, bedroom, and home office. The TJI Team took our ideas and requirements and transformed the space into a light, bright, and extremely cohesive space that is truly in tune with our lifestyle and personal preferences. It is hard to even remember what the space looked like when we began the project. Everything was so well thought through that one would believe, it was what the space should have looked like when the home was originally built. Kudos and thank you to the TJI Team for their dedication to our project and carefully listening to our thoughts and ideas to bring the finished project to life in our personal way with TJI’s “magical touch”. To execute the TJI design, we used Talie Jane Construction (TJC). We’ve never worked with such a talented, innovative, and efficient construction team. No problem was ever too big, and solutions were always well thought through and executed in a timely manner. The TJC Team was able to easily pivot when necessary, and we very much appreciated their flexibility. The project location was on the 2nd floor of our home. To eliminate transporting 30 yards the debris from the demo area, down a circular staircase and through the home, TJC created a platform over our tile roof with a pulley system. Not only did the team avoid taking the debris through the house, but it created a more efficient system during the demo process. TJC also effectively thought through and made the necessary changes to the HVAC/plumbing system in the updated bathroom, which was no small feat in an existing home. The TJC Team was extremely considerate of our home, where we continued to live during the process. They prepped all the spaces exceptionally well and kept the work areas very clean and tidy with daily vacuuming and removal of debris. The communication with TJC was great, and we were kept up to speed on all work when we were out of town with text messages, pictures, and phone calls when necessary. Lastly, we were very pleased TJC’s subcontractors who were equally as thoughtful in our home and very flexible when there were changes. Enduring a major renovation project can be challenging, but with TJC it was much easier, and they truly brought to life an amazing finished product designed by TJI!

We hired Talie Jane to update our old and tired kitchen. Her color and style selections were spot on and the end result was exactly what we had hoped for. Talie and her team were quick to respond to our questions and concerns.

Our experience working with Talie Jane was negative. We were price gouged and did not receive even adequate service. We were excited to begin working with Talie after reading the reviews on line. We met and discussed our project. We asked if our project could be completed within our allotted budget. She said yes. She asked for a retainer up front. Once the retainer was submitted, we waited for her recommendations. After several weeks of no contact, we reached out to see what was happening. We were told drawings for recommendations and furniture placement were being worked on and we would be contacted to schedule a meeting to review. We then received a statement of charges for services rendered. We were charged an hourly rate for various designers in the company, from the lead designer to associate designers; there were 6 different designers, and even charged an hourly rate for the office manager's time. There was also a monthly "maintenance" fee. When we finally did meet, the furniture placement drawings did not make sense. We had discussed furniture placement at our initial meeting and we submitted photos with pieces of our furniture and Turkish rugs that we wanted incorporated into the design. This information was omitted from the project design and Talie was not aware that our information had been submitted. The meeting was a complete waste of time. After seeing that Talie was not on top of our project and the drawings that were submitted did not incorporate what we discussed, we decided to terminate services. We were being charged an hourly rate for every person in the office, including the office manager, a monthly maintenance fee, and had already been charged several thousand dollars with nothing to show for it. We told Talie we needed to end the project and would like a refund of our remaining retainer. We met on a Friday and ended the project on Monday morning. Talie issued our final bill and we were horrified to see another few thousand dollars for work supposedly done over the weekend. Instead of receiving a refund, we were being charged more money. We asked how we had accumulated several thousand dollars of design work over the weekend. Talie replied that she used overseas designers and they worked on our project over the weekend. This was a scam. We paid several thousand dollars for two in person meetings and 3 pages of furniture placement drawings that did not include what we discussed and did not work with our house design. We did not receive a refund of any portion of our retainer. The charges on our bill were absurd. Talie Jane kept our money and inflated our bill to try and justify it. This is unethical and poor business practice. We subsequently hired a different designer. When we told her what had transpired with Talie Jane, she said it is called price gouging and gives the industry a negative reputation.

We’ve been working with Talie and her team for most of this year on our renovation project. Her team of designers, cabinetry designers, and office staff have been incredible to work with. We worked closely with Page and she’s has been so great to partner with - from choosing materials, finishes, layout, and furniture to working with our contractor throughout the project. Talie’s whole team is professional, quick to respond, and experienced. I highly recommend Talie and her team. We began our renovation with a couple ideas but her team really helped us execute and bring it to life.

Working with Talie and her design team was an absolute joy from beginning to end. I actually started my project with a designer who wasn’t the right fit, and I felt overwhelmed and unsure of my direction. My contractor who had worked with Talie on previous projects referred me to her, and what a blessing that turned out to be. From the moment Talie stepped in, everything changed. I had been struggling to visualize my space, but her beautiful drawings and thoughtful design concepts brought the entire vision to life. She opened my eyes to possibilities I never even imagined. The pieces she selected were truly stunning, each one chosen with such care and intention. I honestly cannot imagine doing this project without her. Talie brought creativity, clarity, and a warm, uplifting energy that made the entire process not only stress-free, but genuinely exciting. Talie and team are on top of it! Very professional and a full service company. The recommendations and options were great and turned out great! We had the added challenge of being located out of town, so the only reason I did not give 5 stars is because there was a bit of a challenge with spacing. The proposals had a little too much furniture for the space, but that definitely could have been improved if they had access to our house. They had measurements, pictures and drawings I provided, so I think it would have been much easier if we were located in town for better visual access. Also, this is the first time we fully used a designer, so I have nothing to compare this to.

Talie Jane Interiors took on this old house, and what a transformation! This house has been in the family for 50 years with few upgrades during that time. Having retired, I was spending more time at the house, and needed a drastic change. My kitchen demands included adding an exterior door, and none of the appliances could be in their original locations. Due to the age of the home and the multiple additions over time, this seemed insurmountable. Talie Jane interiors was able to come up with a plan, that turned out beautifully, as the pictures reflect. The company is adding a new arm to the business, construction. I am sure this will make crazy projects like mine much easier. They have hired Zoltan, who worked for my contractor during this project. He is the nicest man, and an incredibly detailed worker. None of this would have been possible without the hard work of the whole team, including John Allen the contractor, with Apex Systems. John was unflappable through this difficult process, hired the best subs, and kept things moving, Thanks again Talie Jane Interiors, and the team, for breathing new life into this old house!

I have been in the real estate development business for over 40 years. I have hired or worked with dozens of designers. Talie Jane is without a doubt the very best designer I have had the absolute pleasure to work with. Talie was truly interested in what my goals were for the project, what my budget was for the project and my design “tastes”. She took the time to learn about me, my family and always kept my goals in mind. She is talented, incredibly intelligent, always pleasant, and she knows the construction industry and its processes and procedures. She is excellent in dealing with the “stuff” that comes up in construction and not afraid to lean in with a difficult contractor, vendor or situation, and does so professionally. My project was a fairly significant residential remodel at Lake Tahoe. Tahoe is a difficult market to find contractors and vendors because it is a small market and most must drive at least an hour to get to the job site. Talie Jane has a reliable stable of professional contractors, subcontractors and vendors she works with. She also blended well with the contractors and subs I wanted to use. The remodel exceeded my expectations and I have, and will continue to recommend Talie Jane Interiors to my friends and colleagues.

I started building a 3,000 sq foot house in the Lake Tahoe area in 2021. Talie was recommended to me by my realtor, and wow, I am so glad I found her!! I moved into my house in June of 2023 and am now enjoying all the beautiful furniture and design work. Talie worked with me all the way through construction to finished furnishings. She is very professional and a delight to work with. She has a terrific team that is always accessible as well. I like the way she charges for her services; it is all very transparent. She has an excellent design sense, but she actually listens to what you want (as opposed to a designer that “pushes” her ideas onto you). She gives you several options to choose from on each item and has a good presentation format that makes it easy to see everything. She tells you what the items cost retail and the lower cost you will pay. She was instrumental during the construction phase, because she discovered a design flaw in the kitchen that we were able to fix. She is prompt in her responses and is there even after everything is put in place if anything goes wrong. I recommend her highly!!

We hired Talie to help us remodel two bathrooms in our home in Napa. We actually started with another designer and didn't have a great experience with them which gave us a nice comparison in styles. With Talie, in particular, we appreciated: -She and her team were very quick with responses, turning around recommendations and designs on a tight schedule to help us get things put back together fast -She listened to all of our feedback and made sense of it all, which is impressive :) -We liked how she gave options and not just one design We were able to meet in person and work virtually and the communication was excellent in both instances. The tile is being installed now, and we have great confidence that things will turn out amazing!

She selected and contacted the various contractors and helped us walk them through our project. We are grateful for the ultimate selection of our contractor. In addition, she recommended and we were able to go with an excellent craftsman for the refinishing of our floors. Talie has very good and positive communication skills and is willing to work with her clients in a way that suits their needs. We had a complicated situation where we brought another designer in on the project and Talie and Talie was willing to fit into our needs. She is a true professional!

Our project had several starts and stops, so I first began working with Natalie in the Spring of 2019. I have appreciated her design expertise/advice and overall I’m happy with the end result of how the project came together. Throughout our working relationship, Natalie has been very responsive to our questions and support needed. What I have been disappointed with in the last year of our project is first, new administrative fees to calculate our billing started to be charged against our retainer without any advance notification of this change in billing practices. Secondly, almost every order placed by the Talie Jane team through various furniture manufacturers and other retailers/contractors had issues on the first delivery or delays that required multiple follow-ups. This resulted in not only time and frustration on our end but we also had to pay for her team’s time to follow-up on every item that needed correction, depleting the majority of the trade savings we were expecting.

I am the owner of the “Five Creek” Project. This was our second project with Talie Jane. She and her team are masterful at transforming homes from what they were, to “how they should have been the whole time”. Seriously, you have to see the “before photos” because what came out is a home that you feel relaxed in. we have this great room we call “the lounge”. Gorgeous view of the Carson Valley. I said to Talie, “when someone comes in this room, i want them to know what to do—-either chill by the fireplace, or stare out at the changing landscape of the ranches in Gardnerville. We have a “daylight basement” that Talie transformed in to my wife’s office/studio/workout/wine/movie area. Talie spread her expertise across nearly every room in our house, and it shows Per usual, Talie exceeds all expectations. From materials selection, furniture aesthetic, wall colors, to most perfect accessories for each room. These are the things that homeowners just can’t do—and this is what Talie Jane does in her sleep. Knowing us—we’ll be working together again some time in the future. (shh.. don’t tell her that If i hit the lottery, I’m having her build me a house).

Talie and her team completed a renovation of our Lake Tahoe house. The house is now beautiful and unrecognizable from the dated house we purchased a few years ago. Talie is responsive and has impeccable taste. We reached out to her after seeing the photos of her work on Houzz, and are so happy that we did. We partnered with Talie Jane Interiors to completely remodel our 1990s Tahoe cabin style home. The brief was "modern - modern/mountain". Minimize the "cabin" feel, and bring in modern clean lines, bright, metals and concrete. Talie Jane Interiors designed us a home that transcended that brief by brining out our personalties, and creating a cohesive environment that makes us feel good. Talie started our journey off with an exploratory set of conversations, looking at inspiration pictures with us, getting to know the latent opportunities (poorly utilized spaces etc) and how we like to use our home. Talie and her team created very professional room by room design presentations that we reviewed and revised together. One of the things that I most appreciated about our journey is how bidirectional the process was. Presentations would be quickly adapted based on feedback. As the aesthetic evolved Talie would artfully tie together new elements across the entire house, ensuring cohesive design. We really felt we could trust the teams vision, that they respected ours. It was a great design partnership. Once we had finalized our designs, Talie and team helped us select contractors. This was an important step as all three parties need to be on the same page in order for the project to be executed correctly. Talie Jane Interiors formed a very professional relationship with that team, and our remodel began and completed with minimal issue. We were included in on the fly change decisions that were needed, as is common in remodels. We received regular communication throughout the build and were able to detach from the project management element completely. Our home not only looks wonderful, but it is more functional too. Our kitchen feels bigger, we have a dedicated office space made of interior glass. The center stairwell of the house feels like a feature now rather than just 'stairs'. Our bathrooms have more utilizable space. Our master bedroom and master closet are beautiful. Our living room is...wow. We've gone from a 4 bedroom home to a 4 bed + office without changes to our footprint. We did increase our 'window print' making some windows larger, and removing old curvatures. The house feels modern, spacious and bright. Personally, living in a home that has been artfully designed has always been a dream of mine. I'd flick through magazines as a child and circle elements I liked etc. I briefly wondered if I could design a home myself, though I am now extremely glad we brought in Talie Jane Interiors. The results so much more elevated than I could have dreamed. Through the process with the team, I realized that it's one thing to idly pick elements off a mood board, but the real skill and talent comes in bringing the elements together with cohesion, function, beauty, and flow. Not to mention the actual execution phase. We are forever glad we brought in Talie and team to provide that guidance, expertise and execution. We live in our dream home now.

Talie did a great job updating our Incline Village Village vacation home which was stuck in the 1990s. She managed the project when we weren’t there and always kept us apprised of progress and any necessary changes of plan. Her sense of color and use material is excellent and she was respectful of our price point. We felt very comfortable leaving our now gorgeously updated home in her very capable hands. We will definitely call her again.

I recently worked with Talie to remodel and decorate a bathroom and bedroom for my teenager, and I couldn’t have been more impressed with her professionalism, thoroughness, and, of course, creativity! The original bathroom was dark and rundown, and the bedroom was used as a bunk room for a rental. Talie took the time to consult and engage with us so that the end result was exactly what we were looking for. My teenager’s eyes lit up when she saw the light, modern, and welcoming bathroom. And when she saw the bedroom she was beaming with excitement and thanked me immediately! So, thank you, Talie!! Job well done!

Talie Jane Interiors helped us to remodel our vacation home at South Lake Tahoe while we were still in the middle of pandemic. She handled everything in a super professional manner since the very first onsite interview where she not only noted all the remodeling thoughts we had in minds, but also provided her suggestions along the way. The interior design, furniture selection / sourcing and even the contractor interview is all managed by Talie Jane Interiors, which makes the whole vacation home remodeling very successful experience as she has kept everything on track. She is very responsive with phone calls / emails, as well as early notice for vacations, so the communication is very smooth. Another great benefit provided by Talie Jane Interiors is the trade price they are providing to the customer of the furniture selection, great value! Talie Jane Interiors is definitely the best one-stop full-service interior designer, will definitely work with again.

Smaller budgets need not fear to hire Talie Jane Interiors! I was somewhat intimidated to even call Talie since we're not at Lake Tahoe and I thought interior designers were only for the rich. Talie was professional in all aspects of our project including the limits of our budget. My goal was even though I wasn't rich, I wanted our dining room, open kitchen/family room to look rich. Talie's eye for color, connections with suppliers to find cabinets/countertops/window coverings/furnishings, etc. in our price range means we met our goal! We added on the master bedroom and closet since we were so pleased. Talie didn't upsell anything or pressure us to go beyond what we could afford. The only "add-ons" were the additional costs of supply chain problems and what Talie had to manage as a result of delays, cancelled orders, etc. Even my husband was won over, a definite change from the start when he refused to have anything to do with "my" project and hiring.

Natalie is wonderful to work with. She is personable and professional. Her work decorating my living room was outstanding. We absolutely love being in the space now. It was great that she was able to incorporate some of my own "must keep" pieces into the design. I will use her again and I highly recommend her to anyone that needs a quality interior decorator.

This was the second time Talie has helped with my remodel. I am very happy with my new bathroom. With all the supply chain issues this job was challenging, but Talie kept me posted along the way and the result is awesome. She suggested tile to the top of the ceiling to make the bathroom look larger. The color and shape of the tiles she showed me was exactly what I envisioned. I will use Talie again on my next project, and would highly recommend her.

My husband and I live in Tahoe, right around the corner from Talie's house. Several years ago we completely gutted and rebuilt and redecorated our home. We loved the results except for the horrible, gargantuan coffee table which overtook our whole living room. It was so awful that we never used the room at all. Although we had never met Talie, we did see photos of her home which she remodeled and redecorated. When we saw her living room, we knew that she would understand exactly what we wanted. Last night our new, custom made coffee table arrived and it's PERFECT! Talie is a dream to work with. Not only is she completely professional, she is a warm, lovely person. I highly recommend her!

I put out a few feelers to a few designers vis the Houzz website. She was by far the most responsive and communicative designer, and that was just the beginning. Talie has relationships with builders throughout the Tahoe Basin, and that was a huge plus for us- that is how we got our contractor (which can be impossible in this area). Throughout the project she remained committed to our vision. She responds thoroughly and completely very quickly to every question. I never once felt out of the loop. If we hadn't used Talie, the chore (yes I said chore) of choosing door pulls, colors, backsplash, tile, fixtures, etc, would have all fallen on us. It would have been overwhelming and not enjoyable. And it would have turned out amateurish. Yes, a designer costs money, but it is money well spent. Any designer discount she receives, she turns over to us, thus decreasing the cost of the overall expenditure. I cannot recommend Talie and her team enough. If you are going to use a designer (which is a must), then you can't get better than Talie Jane.

Talie Jane Interiors is a five star, full service interior design firm. Talie and her friendly, ptofessional, well trained staff never fail to impress and exceed our expectations. Her "listening skills" are excellent, as she listens to our needs and desires, combining practically with beauty and elegance. She has made us so happy in our own home! This year Talie designed two bedrooms, our den and bar. We came to her for these projects because we were so pleased with the kitchen, dining room and great room she had already completed. Remaining true to our budget, we took these goals in two parts. Talie understood that necessity, keeping the vision and style alive in the whole house. Her professional relationships had a depth of contacts so the she could secure the best work at the best price. Her pricing is transparent, passing along her professional discounts, She generally submits two or three design plans along with her recommendations. When cost cost was a stretch, she substituted a lovely alternative, For design projects -- from choosing a furniture piece only available to designers to gutting a house and creating a new, practical floor plan, I would only work with Talie Jane Interiors. Her excellent taste, attention to detail and budget constraints, comfort, quality and reliability outstrip all others.

I bought a second home in Lake Tahoe in early 2020 that was built in the 70’s and in desperate need of a facelift. My realtor recommended Talie Jane Interiors and we scheduled a meeting . It was clear from the beginning Natalie (Talie) was extremely professional and I felt like she asked me all the right questions about my goals, the look I was trying to achieve, about me, my family, my lifestyle and tastes. We hit it off immediately and began our process. I found over the coming months Talie and her team worked VERY hard and were detail oriented. Excellent communication and service with detailed multiple CAD drawings presented for each room. Every room was a work of art. 10 stars! Words can barely cover how much easier our remodel was working with Talie and her team. From working with us on the original vision boards, to the design ideas, ordering and coordinating delivery on all of the products, and seamless coordination with our contractor. The project really came off without a hitch. We had envisioned a much more complicated process that would have felt overwhelming with our schedules. When in fact, most of our work was done within the first few hours we spent with Talie. In that time, she got to know not only our project, but us as a couple. I worked with Talie on my condo in Incline Village, and love the results! Talie makes the design process seamless and fun. This was my first remodel ever. I was not sure where to start, so I decided to hire a designer. Natalie was able to make our vacation house a home! My husband and I have no design sense but wanted to make our new Tahoe house's interior design cohesive, functional, and beautiful. Building upon the fantastic work that Talie Jane Interiors did on phase 1 of our house, we had their team remodel and restyle our lower level. At our house, our children live downstairs in the cutest of rooms. Bedroom 1: Their team was able to remove a beam to bring more space to my daughter's room, brighten it up with the most wonderful colors, and add the perfect furniture to her room (bed, dresser, chairs, accents). We also had Talie Jane design and install custom closet cabinetry giving our girl more storage in her uniquely shaped bedroom. New carpet was installed in both bedrooms. Bedroom 2: What started out as a fairly boring space is now an awesome bedroom for our teenage son. This bedroom is now complete with great color of paint, updated lighting, new bedroom furniture, stylish bedding, and reclining furniture for a very cool TV area. Natalie selected artwork for the walls, a modern computer desk, and even had a neon sign of a snowboarder made for my son. Flooring: The clean wood-look tile flooring ties all of the downstairs rooms together going from Bedroom 1 to the hallway, laundry, and lower bathroom. Bathroom: Completely restyled with new cabinetry, light fixtures, countertops, and paint. I think might actually be finished with our house and we owe it all to Natalie and Ryan at Talie Jane Interiors.

Wow was all I could say when I walked into my beautifully staged home. I saw pictures but they could not compare to the real thing. Many people claim to “stage” homes, but Talie Jane designs.

Every so often you run into a design team that "gets it". What makes a great design team? --Completeness of Vision --Transparency and Accounting --Access to contractor/service providers --Follow thru and execution on even the smallest details. On all items, both Natalie and Ryan at Talie Jane Interiors knocked it out of the park. They took our 1965-built Tahoe property and transformed it into a gorgeous "mountain modern" home. We worked closely with Talie Jane on what our ideas were for the property and watched them become reality before our very eyes. A gorgeous large modern pivot door welcomes you in to a near full remodel. From the furniture to the fixtures and installation of a 3-sided Montego glass fireplace, with custom metal fabricated exterior that we have a unique and welcoming living room that isn't found in any property for miles. South facing living room wall had massive windows installed that make our living room practically a "Treehouse" with three sides of it looking on to the gorgeous Lake Tahoe forest. Dining area, custom wallpaper, paint, full drywall resurfacing were just some of the details that are really hard to miss. Natalie's ability to match Custom Omega cabinetry, quartzite countertops, and Wolf/Sub-Zero appliances with our pine floor--while at the same time reorganizing and restructuring the kitchen has made it a hub for home activity and entertainment. Restyling of our off-kitchen bathroom took what was a fairly bland room and turned it into what you might see at a hotel. Modern cabinetry, glass "barn-doors" in the shower, amazing color scheme and all the right finishing details are the result of extreme attention to detail. The coup-de-gras on our project was the creation of a super master suite. By combining the master, adjacent bathroom and bedroom, Natalie and Ryan reconfigured it to be an absolute work of art. The energy flow in our master bedroom is unlike any other I've been in. From the 3-D wall tile to custom lighting, the double-sided glass fireplace that looks into the bathroom is as cool as could be. Talie Jane hired local artist Scott Forrest to provide hand painted artwork that adds that extra dimension to the room. By combining three rooms, they built us a his-hers back to back peninsula vanity that flows directly from the master, through the bathroom, and into a custom designed closet for my wife. Downstairs bathroom and kids rooms also got upgraded as well. So much really goes into a well-designed space and Talie Jane left nothing to be desired and no stone unturned. Try DIYing something this good? Forget it. Every single detail was perfectly executed and even the smallest items were followed up on. We worked with Talie Jane Interiors to update our Florida beachfront penthouse. In our efforts, we were planning to donate our $5,000 baby grand piano. We just couldn't see how it would fit within our space without blocking our ocean views, But, Talie worked her "space planning magic" and found the perfect spot, saving us from donating our treasured piano and maximizing our space. It now creates a natural divide between our living and dinning rooms. She helped us update our formal living room, with space planning, custom furniture and fabric selections. As we all know, good help is hard to find. When it comes to an interior designer it can even be harder. Talie Jane Interiors (Natalie) immediately made me feel I could trust. I hired Talie Jane to recommend and build a plan to upgrade a luxury condo unit that was 9 years old. The thoughtfulness put into the plan was exceptional. The firm made suggestions utilizing some existing items as I requested and incorporated them with brilliant new changes resulting in a perfect meld of old and new.
