Thanks for stopping by! My name is Steffe and I am the creator and artist behind The Dreamer Weaver. Each Dreamcatcher I make is unique and constructed with high quality natural materials and lots of love. I am passionate about my craft, and I hope you can feel the love and positive energy through my art. I have always admired Dreamcatchers for their traditional meaning in Native American culture as well as their aesthetic. I do not wish to copy the traditional Dreamcatcher, but use the general form as a canvas to create a composition that is inspired by its meaning. I am captivated by the natural world. As someone who lives in an Urban environment, I feel that too often people are disconnected from nature and lose their wild and free spirit in the concrete jungle. Small meaningful encounters with nature can make all the difference in day to day happiness. I like to bring small aspects of nature into my home and work space to revive and foster this connection to the outdoors. When I can't be outside, I bring the outside in! Crystals, precious stones, found wood, and feathers have been fascinations of mine throughout my life. I have fond memories of combing the forest for the most suitable walking stick and collecting only the most colorful stones from the beaches of Walloon Lake in Northern Michigan. These are the life experiences that I hold most precious. These are the moments in life that should be treasured. My intention is to mix these natural and meaningful materials with some more unconventional ones to create modern wall art that brings a wild and free spiritual energy to your living space, nursery, or bedroom. A splash of color from a rough crystal, an abstract composition with found branches, and soft feathers are carefully combined to embody the natural world.
