It was while standing in a gallery in Hanoi one day last year that I learned to appreciate the true power of Trilogy's 3D modeling technology. We had been searching for paintings for our new home in Summit County, but were having difficulty selecting individual pieces, uncertain how they would mesh with the planned design. The stress was increased by the fact that I was shopping alone, 8000 miles away from my wife in Colorado, and desperately afraid of making a mistake! Seeking advice, I sent a series of iPhone photos to Michael. Within hours, both of us received screenshots displaying the artwork as it would actually look in place, along with lighting, finishes, and furniture. This made our decision process so much easier, and it was amazing how closely the depictions in the model matched the finished product! As we contemplated building our first custom home, we heard plenty of horror stories from friends and relatives. Our experience with Trilogy, however, belied all such expectations. Michael made the design process exciting and fun as we saw our ideas gradually take shape in the model. The computerized, online process made it easy to test out even small design changes and also allowed us to meet remotely when we didn't have time to travel to Frisco. The software was incredibly detailed and powerful, allowing Michael to design even custom elements such as lighting fixtures and a water feature. Once we began construction, we found Trilogy to be good partners. They were transparent in their accounting and treated us with honesty and fairness at all times. When our home was finished we were dazzled, but not surprised, because it was just like the model! We found the build quality to be excellent; when problems have come up, Michael and our project manager Bill Ashley have been very responsive in addressing them, even long after the project was complete. They take great pride in their work and are not satisfied until everything is perfect. I have no reservations recommending Michael Rath and his team to anyone planning to build in the Colorado mountains, or anywhere else for that matter!

Trilogy has supported the Breckenridge Film Festival for several years now. As an arts nonprofit in a small community, we rely on community supporters such as Trilogy to sustain our programming. We chose Trilogy Partners for our extensive remodel in Breckenridge for several reasons. We've seen their work in Summit County over the years and felt like it was a match for our visions. I have known Michael Rath for 10 years, as a competitor and more recently from a supplier perspective. I have served on the Summit County Builders Association Board of Directors with Michael and I have always admired the work that his company, Trilogy Partners, produces. For the last two years I have supplied windows to numerous projects that Trilogy is managing and I am always amazed and impressed by their creativity and professionalism. I have the experience and benefit of working with many builders in Summit County and few stand shoulder to shoulder with Trilogy Partners. I was in Breckenridge and saw one of Trilogy's projects under construction. The detail was fabulous and the workmanship was truly evident. I am considering a remodel project in the future and am looking for ideas. The workers really seemed confident and professional.

We recently bought a townhouse in Breckenridge, Colorado as a second home. While looking for contractors to assist with refreshing the home, we met Michael Rath of Trilogy Partners. Our initial meeting with them was limited to replacing a spiral staircase that looked like an eyesore and was a focal point immediately upon entering the residence . We stressed that we had a limited budget for the refresh . Michael told us that he would find a solution and while challenging, would work within our budget. They also left us a brochure of their business. After our meeting, my wife and I looked through their brochure and fell in love with some of the work that they had done . We called them to inquire if they could remodel our place to give it a Colorado Mountain Home look within a budget that we could live with. Before they responded they invited us to see a similar type residence that they had remodeled. When we saw it we loved it and immediately began working with Trilogy on a proposal that would be within our budget. Candidly, for the work that we wanted done, which included but was not limited to: replacing the kitchen cabinets and appliances , installing hardwood flooring , bannisters, changing the fireplace facade, carpeting, painting, changing trim and doors , moving walls, adding humidification and replacing furniture , we did not realistically expect that what we wanted done could be accomplished within the budget that we gave. Trilogy worked diligently to put together a proposal to accomplish what we wanted (which was basically to remodel the whole house except for 3 bathrooms). Shockingly, the proposal was exactly at our budget. They also provided drawings showing what the residence would look like. The drawings included a solution for the spiral staircase which we never in our wildest dreams could have thought of. Their creativity and vision was remarkable. We accepted the proposal. Trilogy completed the work by the date agreed and moreover they came in under budget. This was surprising because there was unexpected work that had to be done alone the way, such as moving lines for the in-floor radiant heat and firming up joists to eliminate flex. During the remodel, Trilogy was in constant contact with us (we live out of state) and sent us photographs of the progress. When we first saw our home upon completion, it was exactly what we wanted and looked exactly like the drawings that they had given to us. The work that was done by Trilogy was excellent. They paid attention to every detail. They have a network of superior sub-contractors that can tackle any issue and they do so without shortcutting. Trilogy is there to supervise whenever a sub-contractor is doing any work. Trilogy is honest and professional and they have stood behind their work. We highly recommend Trilogy Partners for any construction and design project.

Trilogy Partners is building our Colorado mountain-modern house. The company was selected from several builders because of the 3-D modeling capabilities of Michael Rath. Selecting Trilogy has turned out to be an excellent choice. The modeling has allowed us to "design" with Michael the interior of our home. We sit with Michael, the model, and let the creative juices flow. In real time we see the product of our efforts and that becomes "saved" so that we can move on to another design area or can return to the saved efforts for another look. Being able to walk through the rooms, look out the windows, see the size of the doors, etc, has been invaluable in terms of visualizing the completed look. Trilogy has been in business for 20 years and it is apparent. The team works well together and has been tops in terms of interacting with us. They are helpful, offer suggestions, and really seem to care about the finished product...our home. If there is any lacking in ability, there is an abundance of willingness to learn, gather information, etc. We have been very pleased with the results and highly recommend the company to anyone wanting to build or remodel.

110 and 112 North Fuller Placer – Metamorphosis When we went to Trilogy, we were unsure of what could be done to upgrade our duplex on a funny lot. We knew the windows and exterior siding needed replacing. We also wanted some extra living space, a usable entry and a garage. Trilogy took our ideas and worked with the architect to come up with a concept which was done in a couple of months. Once we decided on a basic idea the project took off. We realized we could get all the things on our list done and much more to transform our property into a home that is more than we imagined it could be. Trilogy was so helpful in providing the needed information for financing. We asked more than once “can we really do this”. Before ground breaking, Trilogy produced a 3-D walkthrough model which made the project come to life. During the first months of planning and permitting the 3-D model helped us change some room layouts and add some nice extras that just fit (i.e. 112 loft, special fireplace and 110 bedroom layout). The 3-D model really helped in picking the floor covering layout, wood, carpet or tile type. Furniture size and placement went from guess work to an easy decision with the 3-D modeling. During the building, many challenges came up and the Trilogy group could always come up with a plan to resolve the issues while keeping our end goal in mind. The Trilogy group really put their heart and soul in this project. We thank them for bringing this project to reality, for all the little extra add-ons which they knew we needed to make this our special home we will enjoy for years to come. Jack and Gail Donnellan

Bullion King is our personal paradise. Not a day goes by where we are not in awe of the craftsmanship of the home, the serenity of the location, and the awesome beauty of the surroundings. When we stand outside, we can barely believe this is actually our home. We can't imagine a scenario where we'd part with what we consider a piece of art that we conceived over two decades of desire, planning, sacrifice, and hard work. But required the skills of Trilogy to actually accomplish. The property was the initial discovery lode of a rich gold vein that spawned the creation of the Gibson Hill Mining Company in 1881. The company was capitalized at hundreds of millions of dollars in today's value from investors back east. Eventually in 1914, the property was sold for $5.17 in back taxes. This property started as "worthless" forest as the US government considered it, became a fabulous mineral discovery, and then sat vacant as a worthless mining ruin. We take great pride in knowing we've restored it to a spectacular home built in the timber style the miners would appreciate in the beautiful forest that has re-grown. We feel that generations of people all contributed from the hard working miners who made the initial gold discovery they believed would change their lives forever, to the craftsmen at Trilogy who completed the evolution of Bullion King. No doubt that the miners who camped and worked here had amazing experiences that turned into vivid memories. Now we are creating our own. Our first Christmas in the home we had twenty family members who hadn't spent a Christmas living under the same roof since we were kids. My mom told me it was the best week of her life. Our summers are one group of loved ones after another coming to visit. Recently, on the anniversary of my father's tragic death we suffered as kids, I had my brother, sister, and their families here in the living room enjoying each other's company. My mom called with tears of joy that we were all together on that difficult day. When we moved away from our hometown a decade ago we worried that we'd lose track of friends and family back home. And we did for a number of years. But this home has truly become a place that has reconnected us all. We spend more quality time together now than we did years ago distracted by the complications of daily life. We now realize that was the driving force in our ambition to build this home all along.
