True North Cabinets

We had an amazing experience working with True North Cabinets. In the summer of 2020, we were interested in reimagining our entire first-floor layout (including kitchen remodel). One meeting with Ken was all it took for us to recognize True North would be the perfect partner for our project. Ken walked the space and devised a plan that included moving walls and converting a bonus room space into a separate office and new mudroom. I was impressed with Ken's creativity, honesty, and experience, sharing ideas that nobody else had considered. We immediately knew we had found the right partner. We worked collaboratively over the next few days reimagining the remodel of our entire first floor. Ken presented beautiful 3D models that helped us visualize the transformation. I was especially impressed with Ken's attention to detail. He spent a tremendous amount of time reviewing how we would use the space and making small corrections to dimensions, appliance placements, and seating to ensure it worked best for our family. For example, Ken was meticulous about ensuring my new built-in office desk was at the optimal height for my size and that the walls were built with soundproof insulation to mask the noise from outside the room. True North's pricing was very fair and transparent. Ken was never pushy about closing a sale and presented us several options along the way to save money (or splurge) on certain items. True North also offers the interior design expertise of Louise for no additional charge. Louise helped us select all of the finishings for the Kitchen, Mudroom, and Office. This was a huge project that took the entire first floor down to studs and floorboards. While you often hear horror stories of dealing with absent general contractors or delays in construction and surprise costs, I am happy to report that our project stayed right on budget and was delivered on-time. In large part, this was due to True North's partnership with Q Carpentry. Q, his brother, and his extended family of trade specialists were absolutely amazing. I know why Ken likes working with Q, because they are both meticulous about their attention to detail and work ethic. Q would often go to extraordinary lengths to get the job done right, often at his own expense, treating my home like his own. I often told Q to go home to his family because of all the extra hours he would put in. However, I truly appreciated his effort, and I would trust Q for even the largest home remodels. Ken and Q collaborated throughout the process, leaving me very little to worry about. They took out all of the stress of a large remodel, allowing us to focus on the excitement of enjoying a new space and planning the finishings with Louise. The result is a completely reimagined first floor that works 100 times better for our family of six. We also gained lifelong new friends in Ken, Louise, and Q. I wholeheartedly recommend True North Cabinets and Q Carpentry.

We had the pleasure of working with Ken and Louise who helped us design our dream kitchen. Ken provided us with a 3D rendering of our plan and ken and Louise helped in choosing not only our cabinets and countertops, but also lighting, hardware, and plumbing. They were able to place orders for us and oversaw the delivery process ensuring that everything was on time. Their recommendation for a contractor was right on target and we could not be happier!

We had a great experience working with Ken and Louise of True North. They were so passionate about designing the best possible kitchen they could to fit our needs. Ken paid such attention to detail in offering every option that might work well in our kitchen. He tweaked our design on numerous occasions to better size the cabinets or offer a better solution. When our kitchen was complete, he came to inspect the work and show us how to adjust doors and drawers if needed. He was there when the cabinets arrived to inspect every cabinet upon delivery. Louise was there to help with every aspect of the decor. She helped me with tile and counter top selection. She helped with lighting options and paint colors. Both Ken and Louise were extremely responsive to every question, call, or email. They are such nice people. The service and expertise they provide is outstanding. We enjoyed working with them so much and we love our kitchen.

We had a wonderful experience with True North. They designed a beautiful kitchen for us within a week and they were always quick to reposed to our questions and needs. The installation was seamless and they were great about follow up. I think Ken has an amazing attention for detail and Louise is lovely. I will definitely hire them again.

Louise and Ken Pascal of True North Cabinets have provided custom kitchen and bathroom cabinets for several high end homes that I have renovated. The cabinets are not only gorgeous but of the highest quality. Louise and Ken’s experience and knowledge undoubtedly saved me from many design disasters! Their attention to detail is superb. Ken and Louise provided 2 design options for my kitchen to optimize the space and designed my bathroom vanities. They spent valuable time explaining cabinet constructions, finishes and countertop materials to me. They were meticulous in the final outcome - product was delivered on time, was excellent quality and at a fair price. Would hire them again in a heartbeat.

We are extremely pleased with our new True North Cabinets kitchen. Ken and Louise provided outstanding service and paid great attention to every little detail. We were originally considering using semi-custom cabinets from a local home improvement store and showed Ken and Louise a copy of our plan. We asked them to give us a quote using their custom cabinets. Within a couple of days, Ken had reworked our plan (something we didn't expect) and came up with a much more functional and attractive plan with more storage space. There were some serious flaws in the other plan that he caught right away. He was extremely patient with the changes we asked for along the way and made sure the installation was perfect. And Louise was very helpful in finding the perfect fixtures and countertops. We ended up spending only about $2,000 more than the home improvement store quote, but got much nicer custom (vs. semi-custom) cabinets with many features (pull out pantry shelves, glass doors, custom Benjamin Moore paint colors, divided drawers, extra shelf for trash bags, etc.) that were not included in the other quote. AND Ken and Louise were there for consultation and advice the entire time. We feel we got a fantastic value and would give them our highest recommendation.

We would recommend True North Cabinets to anyone looking for the absolute best: the most beautiful AND functional kitchen designs! My husband and I were not sure what we wanted at the outset of the project and Ken was incredibly adept at defining both an aesthetic that appealed to me and a functional kitchen that works for the chef in our family (my husband!) He asked the right questions to determine how our kitchen would be functioning to accommodate everyone in our family and made great suggestions that we would not have realized on our own. He was amazingly fast with turning designs around and helped us with realizing not only the kitchen portion of the project but also helped to create our family room remodel with a thousand great ideas and great connections to other professionals. Louise was completely invaluable throughout the entire process as well. She is gracious and highly talented at determining what a client's personal taste is in order to find the exact products to complete the project for a totally designed look. Her attention to details was incredible for every surface of my kitchen and she is just a pleasure to spend time with. Both Ken and Louise were respectful of our financial constraints and worked hard on our behalf to make sure we were happy with each choice when staying within our budget. They made sure we were ahead or on the timeline committed to. They are amazing partners to work with and we are so pleased with how our new space has turned out!
