We recently completed a two-story addition to our 1900's home with the help of VanBenschoten & Lynch Builders Inc. Bob & his team were remarkable in their communication & execution every step of the way, our home was transformed while our family of 5 & a dog was living here. I can't say enough that we have had a lot of experiences with contractors in this old home and we wish that we had met Bob & his team before now. Respectful and trustworthy, talented and professional- We are so grateful to them!

Bob VanBenschoten is an incredibly gifted, honest and conscientious craftsman and builder. I enthusiastically recommend VanBenschoten and Lynch - Bob is simply the best, and it was our genuine privilege to have Bob work on our house and lead his team to transform our old house, which had been in desperate need of care for years before we bought, into a beautiful and comfortable living space. Bob is a gentleman to deal with and he brings enormous creativity, thought and extensive experience to every job he does. We had the good fortune of having Bob and his team perform extensive renovations on our 100+ year old house: replace roof, gutters, and external shingles and clapboard; rear porch addition; renovate and update front wraparound porch; new basement and rear entrances; French drains and sump pumps; new kitchen; all new bathrooms (2 full and 2 half baths); renovate and level basement; multizone HVAC; upgrade all electric and plumbing; new attic and basement storage, among other things. Bob paid particular attention on small details - e.g. medallions - that made a huge difference to the final product. I should add too that we lived in our house while Bob and his team did everything from demolition to final finished product - our kids turned 8 and 6 during the time Bob and his team were renovating our house plus we had two older dogs; nevertheless Bob ensured we were comfortable and could live our lives with minimal disruption or intrusion. Key for us: we still love Bob and his crew even after living with them for half a year, and we couldn't be happier with the work he did for us.

Bob VanBenschoten has done multiple projects in our home since he began his business in 1991. He is the only contractor we trust to do any work in our home. Bob is an excellent craftsman who truly understands old homes and can make any renovation blend in seamlessly with the original architecture and style of a home making sure everything is always structurally sound. He also does all work up to code and never cuts corners. Bob has totally gutted and renovated our kitchen, added a mudroom/half bath/pantry, totally gutted and renovated our main bathroom, added a shower to our third-floor bathroom, repaired our garage structure, designed and constructed the most beautiful fireplace mantel along with numerous other small repairs that come with owning an old house. Bob is also a true woodworker and his custom pieces are not only beautiful but of the highest quality. You can always count on Bob and his workers to do the job correctly and you will never have to worry about the quality or structural integrity of his work because Bob is a perfectionist. All of his workers are professional and they keep the job site neat and clean. We recommend Bob VanBenschoten without hesitation and you can rest assured your project will be done right.

We have worked with VanBenschoten and Lynch on several projects over the years. The most recent involved remodeling our family room and including moving several walls, installing new windows and a sliding door, relocating a bathroom (involving trenching into our slab to relocate water and sewer lines) and fabricating a custom bookshelf that was reset into an alcove. At all times Bob was professional, direct and honest in his communications. Time lines were accurately explained and followed. Bob and his team work with a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. We are looking forward to working with Bob on another project this fall.
