Wow, Precision Construction is meticulous! The craftsmanship is top notch. Scott is a perfectionist and puts time and thought into the details. He ripped out an old wooden deck and put in steel posts, steel framing and composite decking. We couldn't be any happier with the end product and throughout the entire project we always felt that we were in good hands. I highly recommend this company.

Scott Kelly rebuilt our back yard deck in 2021 and we were and are very pleased with the deck design and construction. We chose Scott for the job because we were impressed with the deck he built for our next door neighbor. I guess you could say we had deck envy. It may have cost a bit more then other builders but it was well worth any extra cost. When faced with setback and restrictions on both our properties he quietly redesigned his original design to fit those restrictions while keeping in mind our wishes for what the finished deck out look like. Sometimes that meant a number of new designs, each of which was discussed with us. We were never pressured into accepting something we did not want. Our project was delayed for about a year because of the supply chain problems during COVID. We had to work around that but he always offered alternatives and explained the plus and minuses of any necessary change. Scott works quietly and efficiently but was always available for our questions or concerns. He also had to deal with discovering about 10 wasp nests during the construction which resulted in a number of wasp stings. Still he carried on. I am happy to be writing this review several years after the construction because I can clearly state that the deck is in as good condition today as the day it was completed. We have had numerous compliments on the deck from visitors. The deck is solidly built and will outlast me and the house.

Scott (Sensitive Information Hidden) of Precision Construction is a master deck builder, “the best deck builder there is,” according to the subcontractor who drilled the helical piers for our deck. With incredible attention to detail and commitment to the job and final product, Scott works to make sure every aspect of the project is done to “Precision.” He works closely with his customers throughout the project, and is incredibly respectiful and kind. I've known Scott for a long time, and if I had to bet my life on a job being done meticulously and with integrity he's be the person I'd go with. Aptly named precision construction as the crew pays exceptional attention to detail. My largest project was a deck Scott and his team constructed in February of 2019. While only 13 years old, the existing deck was hardly safe to use. Scott designed the project with a spiral staircase that added a full 100 SQ feet to the deck on the existing foot-print and finished it off with an outdoor grill and fire pit. Additionally, we gained the surprise benefit of only having 3 steel posts instead of 7 wood posts/footings which made the area beneath the deck open, shady and far more “livable” than ever expected. Precision has also performed some other interior and exterior work and I have always been pleased. I'm not a craftsman but I have dabbled enough to know the crucial components. Some of the details I have noticed with Scott and his crew: -Cuts are clean and joints are perfectly fitted to match tightly -Special attention is paid to the flashing and waterproofing taking special care so no moisture penetrates the siding. They were so good, I used them to replace all the flashing and trim around my windows which was rotting due to poor construction from the original build -Trim and finishing detail is extremely clean. -Worksite is tidy after each work day so I wasn’t stepping over tools and scraps I have known/worked with Scott for 4 years and his crew has never changed. They are reliable and I’ve never given a second thought to allowing them access to my house.

Scott and the team at Precision Construction designed and built a large elevated deck on the back of our house. The project included removing the old deck and redesigning the entire structure to more than double the size and also completely replace the support structures to be further apart so they would no longer block our view. The deck has unobstructed views to the South and the old deck had supports blocking those views from both on the deck as well as from the patio beneath it. Facing South also made the sun exposure a concern. Scott designed a pergola to go over the deck that would maximize the shade provided and also prevent the sun from coming in through the windows underneath the pergola which has made that part of the house livable as well as able to see the views year round. When we first engaged Scott we were looking to simply add on to our existing deck and live with the original builders design flaws, but he was able to come up with a solution to completely transform the space and also solve some of the issues inside at the same time. The work is top quality and we have had no issues with the craftsmanship. Since this project, we have had Scott and team back for several other projects in the house and will always contact him first when we need more work done.

Scott Kelly and the guys at Precision are meticulous builders. Every corner lines up perfectly, every decision that had to be made was discussed in detail, with pricing considerations. Scott worked with the structural engineer and the manufacturer to push the limit on what was possible with our deck...curved boards, extra long deck boards, steel joists, floating deck over the garage. I have worked with many many builders and have never worked with someone like this before. Scott is a true pro who keeps the owner’s best interests in mind throughout the project.

We work with a large number of different contractors in our business installing helical piers. Because of that fact, we tend to notice the really good contractors, the average ones, and the ones that we could barely recommend. Precision Construction is one of our favorite companies because they are always prepared, do the absolute best quality work available, and are a pleasure to work with! We truly can't put this high mark and recommendation on very many other companies - book a job with Scott/Precision, and you will flat out get a great result!

Precision Construction did an awesome job on our deck. Scott and his crew are highly skilled, professional and do-it-right detail oriented. Our deck looks amazing and is surely built to last. We have used Precision Construction on two projects in the past and plan to use them again in the near future. I am a structural engineer and I hired their crew to frame my house remodel, and I would do it again.

Scott was terrific! He built a beautiful Trex deck, about 10 x 50 feet, and did it WHEN he said he would at the PRICE he said he would which was significantly LESS than the competition. His work was impeccable, he kept the job site neat and orderly, and even came back three years later at no cost to tighten a single screw that had come loose. The deck still looks like new and is structurally the best.
