Platinum Decking

I can’t recommend Platinum based on the errors on my recent install. 1) No seam tape on joists (or sealing of exposed wood holes after nails were removed). No recommendations or ideas presented. Only to say the tape wasn’t included in order. Carpenter suggested I should have purchased tape. I said it wasn’t offered. 2) cement step was poured at base of new steps because the new steps didn’t align with the tear off staircase. Poor job, cement splash on new deck stairs. Design flaw in new stair layout caused base to become issue. Homeowner cleaned but step at base of new steps looks terrible. 3) casement window NOW blocked from fully opening. I have attempted to get Platinum to correct this flaw on design. Old staircase steps and railing did not interfere w window opening. I did not get the customer service I expected after paying $30k for a new deck surface. Btw their model is to collect $ up front print to acceptance. I want to comment on the work done by Platinum Decking in Schaumburg. I was fortunate to have Mike, Chris, and Tay working on my decks. They worked diligently to ensure that my new decks met all my expectations. The project was particularly challenging due to the fact that the framing of one of the existing decks was not done correctly thus requiring additional time and work on their parts to repair the frame. As the lead on the project, Mike provided coaching and support for Chris and Tay making it possible for them to work effectively as a team completing the project in a timely manner. There has been a lot written today about young people not having a strong work ethic. The people who believe that should meet Mike, Chris, and Tay. They came early and stayed late and worked consistently throughout the two weeks often in the blistering sun. I would also like to recognize Adam Columbus and Austin Lindquist for their efforts in making sure that this project went off without a hitch. I would strongly recommend Platinum Decking.

We hired Platinum Decking to build our Trex deck. Kaylee scheduled our first appointment and brought samples and explained the different products. We gave her our ideas and she provided us with drawings in just a few days. After looking at a few other local companies we decided that Platinum was the best value. We were right! Prior to construction Austin came out and verified everything in our contract and made some additional recommendations. Platinum took care of the permits and inspections, so all we had to do was watch as our project proceeded. Matt and his crew were out and tackled the job in the worst of weather conditions. They were very responsive to our questions and they completed our deck in a timely fashion. We are very happy with their work and attention to detail. I would not hesitate recommending them for your outdoor project.

Oh my gosh! Platinum Decking Naperville created a head turning deck for us in fall 2021. The did EVERYTHING we wanted and made great suggestions throughout, saving us money while increasing the beauty and accessibility of the deck. As a consumer I would say, get in the queue early with these guys; they are very good and worth waiting for, but if you know now that you want a new deck this year, it isn't too soon to touch base. Tom, Breanna, Rob, Josh, and VERY hard working crew, work together to make sure your deck is a showstopper that just invites you to be on it. They suggested a gorgeous safety gate where we needed one (thanks Josh and Rob), they suggested lengthening the stairs to work with new landscaping we had put in (thanks Tom!) Breanna worked with me on the size of deck, color of deck and railings. Tom, himself, came out to check under our old deck since I was asking to lower the new deck to make it more accessible. He even made a suggestion to make it easier for us to seamlessly walk out onto it from the house. Bottom line, they took our needs personally, and delivered above and beyond for us. Our town is a beautiful town, yet neighbors comment on this deck when they walk by. Deservedly so, Platinum Decking Naperville. Thank you so much!

By far the best construction company I have ever worked with. I have had many contractors come out for different projects around my house and it is not always fun to work with contractors. Platinum Decking made everything easy and it was fun working with them. The sales team, owners, and builders were all so involved and they treat your house like it's their own.
