Hive Kitchen Remodeling is first-class! As a professional, I am demanding and have high expectations of the people I hire. Working on my kitchen with Paula and Marius was exciting because they are very professional, highly communicative, organized, and great listeners! The job progressed along on a timely schedule. Marius's skills as a contractor are beyond impressive. This guy can do anything, and he will come up with a fantastic solution in 10 seconds for the most complicated layout. I have a small kitchen, and I needed smart storage solutions. Marius and his team were on time every day and efficient from start to finish! Paula helped me navigate a multitude of choices. She helped me decide on the kitchen design, Ikea kitchen cabinet colors, countertops, backsplash tiles, and appliances. Her design input is precious. Paula and Marius are also kind people, and I had a lot of fun chatting with them. I loved working with Hive Kitchen Remodeling so much that I recommended them to my friends and co-workers. We were really fortunate to work with Paula and Marius in the spring of 2017, when we were finally in a position to renovate our extremely dated and not very user-friendly kitchen. Although we had already settled on an overall design, and had some decently solid ideas regarding which IKEA products we wanted, we very much benefitted from Paula's excellent design know-how and helpful ideas for issues we'd yet to resolve, and really appreciated Marius' confirmation that our ideas on paper would work in reality! They truly couldn't have been more helpful, and worked quickly, efficiently, and with the minimum of mess to ensure that our renovation could be completed over the course of one week, which greatly minimized any disruption to our lives. They also knew the best places to source quality countertops, and saved us from a potential multi-week wait for countertops from IKEA. We also appreciated Marius' keen attention to detail, and how he wanted everything to be finished to the highest standard - even ensuring that the holes drilled in our cabinet to accommodate plumbing for the kitchen sink were beautifully finished, despite the fact that they'd almost never be in view. They found great ways to deal with tricky fittings (like getting our range vent to work with our low ceiling), and even figured out a way to turn otherwise wasted space into a perfect shelving system to house our ever-expanding collection of cookbooks. Five years later, and new visitors still ask us if the kitchen is new and who did the renovation! We're really sorry that Paula and Marius are no longer in our area, as they are the first people we thought of as we contemplate our next round of home renovations.
