My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

If the following is the ONLY work you require, we are not the right company for you: Small repairs, (i.e. replacing broken or missing tiles, patching a crack in the pool), we are not the right company for you. We are not a repair company. Faux rock work. Faux rock is a sub-specialty that requires a true artist. Install a diving board. Leak detection. Steve, the sales person that did our estimate was professional and seemed honest. The work was done as promised. Overall, I was pleased with Gardner Pools. My complaints are the extra fees that were charged during the work. I was warned about them in writing before hand and they came through. The extra repairs that had to be done were never explained to me and seemed very minimal. Very little product was used and it did not take very long and it was an extra $1500. They installed the new pool light, but did not wire it, which would have been another additional charge. I was very pleased when I called and spoke with Jasmine at the Orange County office. She was always very pleasant and helpful.

Regarding the change order costs, I understand how unexpected expenses can be frustrating. When working on a pool remodel, there are sometimes unforeseen issues that arise once the project is underway. These can include underlying repairs that aren't visible until we begin the work. The additional repairs your pool required, while they may have seemed minimal, were essential to ensure the long-term integrity of your pool.

We strive to keep our clients informed and work within the original scope whenever possible, but in this case it sounds we may have fell short of that. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we'll continue to improve our communication about these potential costs to ensure our clients fully understand the work involved.
