We contacted Wendy after seeing her work on Houzz. She listened very carefully to what we wanted and formed her plans around that. She was a pleasure to work with and did a great job of over-seeing the work. Her team came in on budget and on time. We are very pleased with the quality of the work and the attention to design detail. We would use her for future projects without hesitation.

Wendy Meyer at Working Nature was a delight to work with! The project included a pool (which she collaborated in design with the pool company), fencing (she collaborated with the fence company), as well as backyard and front yard landscaping overhaul. We had plenty of challenges -- an oddly sloped yard, small spaces, etc. I had a vision of what I wanted, and Wendy ran with it and made it more than I imagined. The aesthetic is differentiating and modern, yet in keeping with an older neighborhood. It includes hardscape, plants, trees, artificial turf, handmade metal pots, irrigation and drainage, stones, rocks, and more. Wendy phased the project over 1.5 years to make it more feasible to financially manage.

We hired Wendy Meyer in 2011 to renovate our back yard from a traditional (and boring) lawn into a place where I could grow vegetables and landscape plants appropriate for an increasingly hot and dry climate. She created a beautiful space with curved, stone-trimmed raised beds for vegetable gardening, a tank for goldfish and water plants, native flowering plants set around decomposed granite walkways, and a wind sculpture that looks like a flower unfolding. Two years later we asked her to renovate our side yard in a similar theme, and she designed raised beds with native prairie grasses, flowering plants and fruit trees as well as a fourth vegetable bed. She picked attractive materials appropriate for the hot and dry climate, helped us find qualified contractors, oversaw construction, and followed up to answer my questions and check on plant health. I have happily recommended her to several friends who have seen the yard and asked, "who designed this for you?"
