Great building team. They did most of the work on the first 5 Mountainside Village Cottages & they are in great shape many years later. I designed these cottages to set the tone for a new village & that they done in a positive way. We wanted to set a high standard for both design & performance.

When we started thinking about building a house we were concerned because of all the nightmare stories we heard about contractors and cost overruns. Our experience with Joe Montesano was nothing like that. He gave us a very detailed bid, practically down to the amount of nails, and the project came in at the bid price. Besides being a contractor, Joe is an artist and spent a lot of time with us with design ideas. He even saved us $30,000 right off the bat by simply moving the driveway so we didn't have to build an expensive retaining wall. His carpenters were all very skilled and built us a truly beautiful, well insulated, efficient home. I have recommended Wilkinson-Montesano to many people because they build the best quality homes in the Valley.

I worked with Wilkinson Montesano on a number of projects throughout Teton County Idaho. From relocating the Wordlcast headquarters from Teton Springs to its current location, to the development and construction of the model homes at the Redtail subdividion and onto tenant improvements at the Colter Building. All of my experiences were extremely positive and exactly why we continued to work together across these several very unique projects. Joe's willingness to jump in and work through difficult design and budgetary constraints made our project outcomes that much more successful. If you are looking for an honest builder of the highest quality, then Joe and Wilkinson-Montesano should be your first call.

The lore is that building a house can be very stressful, especially from afar, but it can also be very satisfying and rewarding -- if you have a great team. We have enjoyed working with such a great crew of professionals. The construction appears to be flawless. So far, everything has run seamlessly without a hitch. While there have been cost overruns in some areas, there have also been cost savings in others. Weekly meetings have kept us informed and allow us to deal with issues before they can become problematic.

I have employed WMB on a number of commercial and residential building projects and could not be more pleased with their professionalism, attention to detail, ability to complete a job on time and on budget, and most importantly the finished product. There is not a better builder in Teton Valley.

We were nervous at the daunting task of building a house in Idaho while living in Boston. And I have to say Joe Montesano and his team made it pretty easy. The project included a house (which was to look like an old cabin) and a separate barn/garage with an apartment above. He provided a timeline of decision-making tasks and suggested times for us to make site visits for walk-throughs and other important decisions that were better made in person. In addition to calming our fears of constructing a house from afar, Wilkinson-Montesano built us a solid and tight house that you can feel as soon as you see it and step foot inside. Teton Valley Idaho can produce serious weather as well as intense sunshine and dry air - and our house says "bring it - I can take it, and then some!!!!" Joe and his team also restored an historic homesteading cabin that was on our property. We've recommended W-M numerous times since completing our house and barn and are now happy to call Joe a friend.

I hired Wikinson-Montesano to build a home for me, specifically Joe Montesano as my contractor. I have built a number of homes in my lifetime, and Joe was the best contractor I have ever had. Not only was the estimate right on target, but I received weekly accounting reports on all expenditures and subcontractors' costs. Rarely can one say that it was a joy to build a house, but this was, for Joe is besides his organizational and trustworthy traits a fun person. Joe remains one of my best friends in the community. All works perfectly in the house after seven years now, and minor outdoor painting has had to be done. The materials are the best, and the subcontractors also were the most professional. I have not one complaint or negative to report, and I high;y recommend with five stars the use of this contracting company for any and all building projects, commercial or residential.

We built a pretty complicated house in Alta, Wyoming, with the help of Wilkinson-Montesano. It was complicated because we wanted to incorporate and re-purpose some old buildings (for instance, pig sties), and also needed a functional horse barn with winter access through a tunnel, and wanted to use a variety of materials, some of which would be considered very low-end (i.e. cement block), in an effort to blend seamlessly with buildings that existed on the site. The project involved re-habbing old buildings, physically moving one building, massive dirt-moving, and constant creativity and open-mindedness. Never did we hear from Wilkinson-Montesanto, "that's never going to work," or "you don't want to do that," or "that's not what you originally said." In fact I've never worked with a builder more willing to adapt to changes, as quickly and efficiently as possible, and create what we wanted in a process that by its nature could not be totally planned in advance. Not only that, we enjoyed working with them. We're still friends. Couldn't recommend them more highly.
