My experience with this company was 100% excellent. The owner is personable, reliable, communicative and honest. In addition the quality of work was extremely high. The subcontractors were chosen well because they also were professional , high quality and met deadlines. We remained within our budget other than in areas where we chose to add extra items. Importantly the owner was extremely helpful in suggesting areas where we could cut costs without much loss in quality and trustworthy in recommending the areas where we would benefit from a little more expense.

Miller Custom Homes built our 2- bedroom, 2-bath house in Crested Butte, CO. The project was an entirely positive experience from beginning to end. Willy, his crew, and all of his subcontractors were pleasant to work with and brought in the project on schedule and on budget. The result is a house that we love. A few specifics: Willy saved us several thousand dollars by suggesting that, in view of the scope of our project, we could hire a designer instead of an architect. Shannon Rennick of Alpine Dwelling produced plans promptly and for a reasonable fee. Willy has a great design sense himself, and made suggestions throughout the project that helped us make the most of both our lot and our construction budget. We were not on-site for most of the project. Willy was diligent about keeping us informed with frequent photos and reports. Willy supported my interest in making the cabinets, bedroom built-ins, and stair parts. He diplomatically steered me away from trying to make things that could delay the project. As a woodworker, I particularly recognized and appreciated his crew member Joe's craftsmanship in the finish carpentry and the installation of the cabinets that I made. We enthusiastically recommend Miller Custom Homes.

Willy built an 8000sq ft home for us which is of the highest quality workmanship with attention to detail like I have never seen before. Even more important is that he is honest and possesses the highest level of integrity. He will keep you appraised of any issues that may arise and will patiently work you through them. We lived 2000 miles away during construction. It was a breeze. Despite a cost plus contract, Willy worked to keep our costs down and quality high. He is very well respected among his subs and is able to use the best available. He still follows through if we should have a problem. We feel very fortunate to have him as our contractor and builder. Willy Miller and his crew have helped us with two building renovations, one of our retail building and the other of our home, and both projects were done exceptionally well. His organized approach, attention to detail, incredible craftsmanship, and rolodex of the best subcontractors are simply unmatched. Plus, we thoroughly enjoyed working with him and he has become a great friend. When we started the retail store building renovation which was an extensive project, we were new acquaintances. I composed a scope of work document, written contract, was careful to monitor progress and cost of the work, and was watchful in the beginning. As the project progressed, it became clear that he knew exactly what needed to be done, was always in communication, and I was most likely getting in the way - so I stepped back. The project ended perfectly, right on budget, right on time and was fun to watch come together. Subsequently, during our home renovation, we simply had a set of floor plans, verbal agreement, and handshake - and it turned out perfectly again. Miller Custom Homes, LLC did a major renovation of my family's 1890's log home in Crested Butte. This included extensive interior work, an addition to the house, and construction of a new garage. The project had many challenges that were solved by Willie's creativity, careful planning and superior quality craftsmanship. I was very impressed with his integrity and professionalism. He involved me in every decision, had a lot of patience, and a calming demeanor which made the experience enjoyable. Every part of my new home is truly custom and beautiful, thanks to Willie and his fantastic crew.

Since I first began working with Will in 2012, I continue to ask his advice on construction and design issues regularly. Will has deep experience and a huge reserve of construction knowledge, yet he is also humble, deeply curious, and wide-open to new ideas. Mr. Miller and crew bid, drew and constructed a major remodel for me and met deadlines,estimates, involved me as a necessary in the process I couldn't possibly be happier with the quality of work, the integrity, the conscientiousness involved, and professionalism in which he and his crew conduct themselves.
