A window jamb runs vertically and is part of the frame's structure
On a window the jambs are the vertical structural components (posts) of the overall frame. They are on the left and right sides of the window frame.
The jamb can be simple or detailed.
These jambs, along with the rest of the window frame's pieces, have been extended to create a deeper look.
Window jambs are often barely visible.
