Completed in late 2019, this new residence features and elegant and understated landscape design to fit well with the transitional and modern aspects of the house. Major design elements and aspects included are simplified plantings, stone walkways, custom lanterns, brick privacy wall, swimming pool garden, outdoor seating, play area, synthetic lawn, privacy screening, decorative planters, sport court, decorative driveway and porte cochere. The residence creates a balance between clean design lines and a functional family residence with plenty of play room for the kids and dogs.

This Hilltop front yard in the Denver Area was constructed in 2012. The existing "builder" landscape" completely failed at dressing up the front of this deserving house. Clients wanted a clever entryway that was more than a simple walkway. The front planter contains "changeable" features that transition with the seasons. Here is the front entrance. The granite landing measures 7'x4' and the walkway is full color, natural cleft bluestone.

Old lawn was transformed into a drought-resistant garden offering ever-changing colors and textures. Turf removal rebate from the local water agency helped offset the cost. A new stucco wall with iron gates were built to create an enclosed porch/courtyard to give homeowners a much-needed buffer between their home and the hustle and bustle of a big city . This state-of-the-art residence in Chicago presents a timeless front facade of limestone accents, lime-washed brick and a standing seam metal roof. As the building program leads from a classic entry to the rear terrace, the materials and details open the interiors to direct natural light and highly landscaped indoor-outdoor living spaces. The formal approach transitions into an open, contemporary experience.
