This lakefront home's kitchen draws from traditional Swedish design and style. A deep basin sink and calm color palette branch from cabinets to tile backsplash and articulate fixtures. All elements combine and bathe in the gorgeous natural light reflecting off the lake outside. All of the kitchen's taller elements have been installed together as one section between the Dining and Den entries. A counter-depth 42" refrigerator by KitchenAid is installed with matching panels applied. A Stainless double oven is next to that with plenty of landing and loading space directly behind the user on the island. The end panel to the left of the refrigerator opens up to reveal a kitchen command center for papers and other items that may normally pile up on the counters.

Our customer desired to upgrade their builder grade cabinetry with beautiful cherry cabinets and they wanted a portable island that could easily be moved to create more space. The cabinetry installed is Medallion Cherry Mission Door, Pecan/Flat Panel in Cherry with Amaretto Stain and Ebony Glaze/Highlight. The countertop is Wilsonart Quartz in Santiago color. The backsplash is Basket Weave Bianco Wood with Atena Dot tile. Armstrong 3” Rustic Restoration in Essential Brown flooring.

Large butler's pantry approximately 8 ft wide. This space features a ton of storage from both recessed and glass panel cabinets. The cabinets have a lightwood finish and is accented very well with a blue tile backsplash.

A small enclosed kitchen is very common in many homes such as the home that we remodeled here. Opening a wall to allow natural light to penetrate the space is a must. When budget is important the solution can be as you see in this project - the wall was opened and removed but a structural post remained and it was incorporated in the design. The blue modern flat paneled cabinets was a perfect choice to contras the very familiar gray scale color scheme but it’s still compliments it since blue is in the correct cold color spectrum. Notice the great black windows and the fantastic awning window facing the pool. The awning window is great to be able to serve the exterior sitting area near the pool. Opening the wall also allowed us to compliment the kitchen with a nice bar/island sitting area without having an actual island in the space. The best part of this kitchen is the large built-in pantry wall with a tall wine fridge and a lovely coffee area that we built in the sitting area made the kitchen expend into the breakfast nook and doubled the area that is now considered to be the kitchen.

In this kitchen renovation, we installed Waypoint Living Spaces full overlay 720F Cherry Chocolate Glaze cabinets on the perimeter and island with roll out trays for pots and pan and tilt out trays accented with Top Knobs Griggs 5 1/16 inch pulls and Hollow Round 1 3/16 knobs. On the countertop, 3cm Giallo ornamental granite was installed. Linear Glass/Stone/Metal tile was installed on the backsplash. A Blanco 1 ¾ Diamond Silgranite Metallic gray undermount sink and Moen Arbor single handled spot resistant stainless faucet. 2 Monroe Mini Pendant lights over the island and a Monroe 5 Light Chandelier in brushed nickel over the table were installed.

The remodeled kitchen expanded into the oversized dining room, making space for a large island, double ovens, ample storage, custom cabinetry, and a large range top, perfect for entertaining. A coffered ceiling adds character and elegance. Recessed lighting, pendants, and in- and under-cabinet lighting offer a warm glow and provide task lighting for meal prep.
