This guest bedroom displays beloved family heirloom pieces. This is a theme that allows honor to be given to the precious treasures that we allow to share our lives. They deserve a place of honor and not to be hidden away as obsolete, dark, or dingy pieces that we are burden to store. This room elevates these wonderful pieces and allows them to function in modern day life. This room is bright and cheerful and is waiting to provide a peaceful stay to all welcome guest.

Moving into their house with little furniture, the Fishers were pleasantly surprised to see details such as this built-in sofa. The cove lighting and built-ins helped shorten the list of necessities, and added a thoughtful touch to the design. Bobbie chose wool upholstery in bright blue to recover the sofa. While orange seemed a natural choice, Bobbie realized that there was already a lot of orange around the house. To compliment the sofa's new shade, she displays her bargello needlepoint pillows that deliver the perfect dose of citrus. Here, the drapes are open, and you can just make out the view of the mountain, just below the ceiling line. On a clear day, it is a wonderful thing to look at!

The sofa and wing chairs were slipcovered in Schumacher's iconic Chiang Mai Dragon fabric. This fabric was the leaping off point for the entire condo. Built-in bookshelves house the extensive collection of hardcover books, and all the walls, doors, bookshelves were done in Farrow & Ball's Parma Gray. Another Schonbek chandelier is the icing on the cake over the coffee table. Boston Functional Library Lights highlight the wall of built-ins.
