A more casual and open architecture, as depicted in this lake-side view, is complemented with a more formal and private treatment on the opposite side, to create a balance that perfectly expresses the owners' wishes. The use of stone, wood and metal form a rich yet seamless palette of colors and textures. The decks, terraces and large windows form direct connections to the beautiful lake frontage.

A wide view of this open-plan kitchen showcases the seamless transition from the dining area to the kitchen island. The modern aesthetic is complemented by the sleek design of the kitchen island, ideal for both cooking and socializing. The natural light pouring in creates an inviting space for gatherings.

For this classic San Francisco William Wurster house, we complemented the iconic modernist architecture, urban landscape, and Bay views with contemporary silhouettes and a neutral color palette. We subtly incorporated the wife's love of all things equine and the husband's passion for sports into the interiors. The family enjoys entertaining, and the multi-level home features a gourmet kitchen, wine room, and ample areas for dining and relaxing. An elevator conveniently climbs to the top floor where a serene master suite awaits.

This homeowner came to us with her basic design ready for us to execute for her kitchen, but also asked us to design and update her entry, sunroom and fireplace. Her kitchen was 80’s standard builder grade cabinetry and laminate countertops and she had a knee wall separating her kitchen from the family room. We removed that wall and installed a custom cabinetry buffet to complement the cabinetry of the kitchen, allowing for access from all sides. We removed a desk area in the kitchen and converted it to a closed organization station complete with a charging station for phones and computers. Calcutta Quartzite countertops were used throughout and continued seamlessly up the walls as a backsplash to create a wow factor. We converted a closet into a pantry cabinet, and new stainless appliances, including a microwave drawer completed this renovation.
Additionally, we updated her sunroom by removing the “popcorn” textured ceiling and gave it a fresh updated coat of paint. We installed 12x24 tile floor giving the room a simple classic transformation. Finally, we renewed the fireplace area, by building a custom mantle and adding wood paneling and trim to soften the marble fireplace face and a simple coat of paint in the entry and a new chandelier brought a lighter and fresher impact upon entering the home.

The new Kinloch lodge stands proud, high on the hillside at the world class Jack Nicklaus Golf Resort. No doubt it is one of New Zealand's most iconic destinations, and possibly the most luxurious - Designed by multi-award winning Patterson Architects, with interior design by renowed lodge and hotel designer Virginia Fisher. The design brief was to create a uber-modern version of a Scottish castle to tie in with the Scottish heritage of the Kinloch name. Forte Flooring were selected to create the rough sawn Oak panelling (black and white), which was used on the walls ceilings to give a very-castle like feel. Set alongside lush velvet, fox fur, brass, copper, slate and wool the lodge perfectly achieves an air of modern royalty.
