The space is now vibrant and functional. The incorporation of simple and affordable white subway tile mounted vertically, creates a sense of "height" in the bathroom. The custom cabinetry was key. This custom vanity offers ample drawer and closed storage in the condo sized hall bathroom. Meanwhile, the custom linen cabinet, which is recessed into the wall, increases the storage options without losing any main floor space. Another perk...the bottom compartment of the linen cabinet houses the litterbox - a great feature for our client to conveniently hide it when entertaining guests. Inspiration for a contemporary living room remodel in New York

Our goal for this kitchen remodel was to give our client an updated kitchen while still having it coordinate with the rest of the house. Organization was a big factor, so we took into account many of the homeowners’ items and found a permanent home for them while making them easy to access. The homeowner also wanted a designated coffee area out of the way from the main work area as well as a “drop zone” when entering the kitchen to put all those miscellaneous items that always seem to collect in the kitchen. The cabinetry is frameless construction with the perimeter finished in Benjamin Moore’s Dove White and paired with a leathered black granite and the island was finished in Distressed Charcoal and paired with a lighter colored granite. The client requested a raised bar island design that was a comfortable height to have guests gather around when entertaining in the kitchen. We incorporated X Mullion details throughout the kitchen and added in decorative corbels on the island as well as the dry bar. Lastly, the client wanted to add a touch of “coastal” to her kitchen by picking a fun paint color that made her feel a little closer to the beach. The paint color we decided on is Benjamin Moore’s Beach Glass.

One of our favorite customers came back to A Direct for our design services for their newest home. As always, our designer worked close with the customer to fulfill every functional need this family had. We listened to hear what style, and look they wanted. After taking their appliance list into account, our designer came up with this beautiful design. The customer wanted a work station island with a butcher block top. They choose African Mahogany wood (by Spekva), which added a splash of warmth among all of the white cabinets, and Carrera marble tops. The family also wanted a bar/beverage center. Our designer created a wet bar, giving ample storage space for wine, and a hutch type cabinets to show off specialty pieces.
