This living room started from a blank canvas. The client had just recently moved in and had no furniture except for a desk in her office. My initial goal was to figure out what she was looking for, her preferred style, and color palette. She told me her must-haves: plenty of seating for friend gatherings, lots of plants, neutral tones, and a midcentury style with a twist. Given her preferences and needs, I went to work. Luckily, I’m quite savvy with resources including Facebook Marketplace, Next Door, Offer-up, and Instagram as well as using various online and local retailers. This Grant Park house was built in 1999. With that said, this bathroom was dated, builder grade with a tiny shower (3 ft x 3 ft) and a large jacuzzi-style 90s tub. The client was interested in a much larger shower, and he really wanted a sauna if squeeze it in there. Because this bathroom was tight, I decided we could potentially go into the large walk-in closet and expand to include a sauna. The client was looking for a refreshing coastal theme, a feel good space that was completely different than what existed. This was a very tight Master Bathroom with a tiled counter that went the length of the wall. A tight space between the vanity and the tub shower insert. The client wanted to have an updated bathroom to include a large tiled shower, a new more modern vanity, and a better use of space. The thought of managing this process was a bit overwhelming for the clients, so they reached out to me to take the reins on the project. The vision to update the tile with a frameless shower. Expand the opening to extend the width of the shower for ease of use. Upgrade vanity, mirrors, and fixtures. Luckily, one of the owners works with Hansgrohe, and we had the opportunity to use their fixtures in both the shower and vanity, which are stunning! These simple upgrades made a big impact and created a master bathroom space that these clients love. This was a complete full bath renovation in July 2020. This home was built in 1935, it’s located on Marion Ave, in Grant Park, Atlanta, Georgia. The client came to me wanting a complete makeover of the bathroom that combined aesthetics and utility. This house had been expanded in the past, and this bath was probably added at some point; because of the age of the home, I had no idea what to expect! The full bathroom has a tub, shower, vanity, and toilet, all nestled in 30 sq. foot of space. The client needed an update to include special accommodations for her aging parents; fixtures adjusted in height for the taller guests or people in her family; and most importantly, a more comfortable, updated environment.
