Breakfast nook--After. A custom built-in bench (cherry, like the cabinetry) works well for eat-in breakfasts. Period reproduction lighting, Deco pulls, and a custom formica table root the kitchen to the origins of the home.

This renovation was inspired by the owner's love of color, and by the 1940s vintage of the cottage--specifically, the colors of classic American dishware of that era, such as Fiesta and Jadeite. In the new space, handmade coral tile and green cabinets provide a splash of tropical color to help counteract the gray Pacific Northwest climate outside. A fresh green tile fireplace surround unifies the living and dining spaces. Photos: Anna M Campbell

From the street, a round rock pathway leads to a small seating area next to the water with a small fire pit. Low maintenance, drought resistant and salt tolerant plantings were used in mass and clumps. This garden has become the focus of the neighborhood with many visitors stopping and enjoying what has become a neighborhood landmark. Located on the shores of Puget Sound in Washington State. This is a custom beverage center, in an area that can be considered a hub between the kitchen, dining room, and family room.

This bright, white, classic “Nantucket” style kitchen was part of the home's 1200 square foot expansion. Built around the needs of a chef and their family, this is a cook’s kitchen built for entertaining. The workspace and flow makes the kitchen as much of a joy to work in as it is to relax with friends in. The bright white cabinets and the cool grey island are complemented by the sea of white marble countertops. The extra deep stainless sink and commercial-style faucet lend an industrial feel to the kitchen, but the built-in banquette and custom window create a cozy, family-friendly feel.
The oversized 9' island is a central gathering space in this home.

We designed this basement kitchenette to resemble that of a mini theater concession stand! Sleek black paneled cabinetry with a glass door display case is perfect for showing off your collection of sweets! A popcorn and soft ice cream machine are also a nice touch to this home theater - setting the mood for a cozy night in watching your favorite movie.
The add a bit of personal style, we adorned the kitchenette with the client's unique artwork -- showcasing passionate reds and working as a contrast to the overall monochromatic kitchenette design.

While the client was having the front yard renovated, they also discussed having an outdoor kitchen installed in their backyard. The outdoor kitchen was covered with a cultured stone veneer and had a granite counter top and dining ledge. The outdoor kitchen included many upgrades including a built-in grill, sink, ice box, big green egg, refrigerator and extra storage. This picture is a close up of the big green egg and built-in grill. The project was completed by The Sharper Cut, Inc. Landscapes in Upper Marlboro, MD.

Designed for a 1930s Portland, OR home, this kitchen remodel aims for a clean, timeless sensibility without sacrificing the space to generic modernism. Cherry cabinets, Ice Stone countertops and Heath tile add texture and variation in an otherwise sleek, pared down design. A custom built-in bench works well for eat-in breakfasts. Period reproduction lighting, Deco pulls, and a custom formica table root the kitchen to the origins of the home.
