Iron grillwork frames a view to the dining room. Furnishing details enhancing the reproduction French fireplace include a linen upholstered sofa with silk velvet pillows, a Bergere chair with antique French tapestry pillow and bolster, mohair velvet upholstered wing chair, aged black-laquered and gold-leaf detailed coffee table, reproduction commodes, gold-gilded lamps with rawhide shades, medallion stools, and a pair of fine antique carved mirrors.

Custom built-in cabinetry with leaded-glass inset upper doors provides amble storage for necessary items. A view of the hallways hardwood flooring with the Versailles patterned stone tile inset is visible before entering the breakfast nook.

Creating the architectural details of this room; inspiration was drawn from classic French details. A pair of iron chandeliers assist to illuminate the room with the warm glow of flickering candlelight. Antique blue and white Japanese porcelain containers are displayed atop a finely carved 19th century cupboard utilized for audio and video components. A pair of antique tooled leather chairs and French-styled coffee table shares the view of the tranquil gardens.

DJK Interior Design designed the Formal Entrance of this 11,000 square foot French Country estate to include such architectural elements as a double arched custom cast-stone entry, custom wood doors with iron grillwork, exterior beam ceiling, and flagstone pavers to set the welcoming theme as one enters the estate.

Suspended from a groin vault ceiling is a notable late 19th century lead-crystal and bronze chandelier illuminating refections of a circa 1880's antique hand-carved dining collection. Antique Arita-yaki or Imari porcelains are placed on the sideboard while the carvings of a master-tradesman's talent defies the passing of time. Silk window coverings showcase the custom leaded windows. Linen upholstered host and hostess chairs take lead at the grand table and an antiqued limestone floor in the Versailles tile pattern lie underfoot.
