Alison & Eric have been my clients for almost 5 years. We began working together , shortly after they purchased their home. About a year later, when Alison was pregnant with their first child they reached out to me to design the nursery & transform the garage into an office/ lounge. Later we did a total makeover in their living room, and recently I completed the nursery for their newest addition the the family. For me, as a designer with a great passion for the home, I absolutely love to be able to build long term relationships with the people I work with. Hutchings Walk is a semi-detached 1930s cottage-style white render house located in the Hampstead Garden Suburb. The client wanted to add a sun room extension to the rear of the house to serve as a playroom / work space and to enhance the relationship of the house with the generous garden. The proposed form echoes the original shapes and features of the house, including Crittall windows to original design, whilst incorporating essential contemporary features such as a large horizontal skylight and underfloor heating connected to the house heating system.

Designed by Seed Architecture and built by Hammer & Hand, the Corten-clad structure will patina with time, blending with its bucolic surroundings. This step-down family room features a coffered ceiling and a fireplace with a black slate hearth. We made the fireplace’s surround and mantle to match the raised paneled doors on the built-in storage cabinets on the right. For a unified look and to create a subtle focal point, we added moulding to the rest of the wall and above the fireplace. Sleek and contemporary, this beautiful home is located in Villanova, PA. Blue, white and gold are the palette of this transitional design. With custom touches and an emphasis on flow and an open floor plan, the renovation included the kitchen, family room, butler’s pantry, mudroom, two powder rooms and floors. We had the opportunity to create a masterpiece of a kitchen! Completely removing a load baring wall and redistributing the weigh to 2 columns. This gave us the chance to open up the kitchen to the living room and adding a massive quartz slab on the island as the center piece in the home. We were extremely proud of this project and the way it came out. Overall, the whole remodel was an amazing transformation but the relationship we made with our new clients is priceless!
