The goal for this project was to hide all the air-conditioning units in the inner courtyard of the hotel. Premium rooms looked directly out on to air-conditioning units that were unsightly and noisy when running. Vistafolia® was asked to design a wall that was at least 12 feet high to obscure the view, but also allow access for maintenance of the machinery. We designed a timber-framed structure which we clad with Vistafolia® Signature Panels, adding additional foliage from our Color Boxes to create larger drifts of grasses and foliage with a small smash of color from some delicate light green/yellow flowers. The green wall privacy screen also provided an acoustic benefit, as it lowered the noise level of the air-conditioning units.

Vistafolia's modern and flexible Artificial Green Wall design offers real customer value, providing excellent bespoke solutions for any client requirement. This roof terrace had an exceptionally long, south-facing space with parapet walls clad in metal sheeting, creating an environment too hot and inhospitable for real planting. The limited area coverage was also a big issue, as putting in living plant systems would significantly reduce the floor space and hamper mobility. Our Vistafolia Panels, which can be customized to fit any conceivable dimension, fulfilled the client’s desire to look out to beautiful greenery by creating a simple solution to the problem with our versatile system and design expertise.

The seating in the garden and the staircase inspired the team to create a masterpiece reminiscent of Lewis Carroll’s own masterwork. As Soon As the furniture and accessories were in place, it was time to add Vistafolia’s completely adaptable artificial green wall panels. The team chose deep vibrant shades of green to provide a spectacular contrast to the white ironwork. A wall was created behind the seating area with large sized leaves and grasses in ornamental clusters. Assorted spiky plants were added to introduce depth and contrast. To break up the uniformity, the team added a variety of extra shades of white and green to the wall with a smattering of ferns and thistles. The amazing affect brought a touch of whimsy and magic right to the backyard of this amazing Nashville resident!

Here in this basement courtyard, a great example of green walls in the context of a complete garden revamp. The client had a rather dull, lifeless, and dark space and wanted to inject some color into the courtyard. The client wanted grey tones to be the overall theme of the garden, but also realised the need to counterbalance this with bursts of color, and what better way than to incorporate some stunning greenery. However, the limited space in the courtyard minimized the available space for planting and thus, a vertical option was sought. This would have the added benefit of breaking up the timber screening which could have made the garden look rather enclosed on its own. But a vertical green wall also presented its own issues. Real plants would require a costly irrigation system and would add a significant amount of weight to the wall. Plus, the height of the walls meant that a living wall may have struggled through a lack of sunlight being allowed in.
