The small kitchen was maximized for efficiency with a mixer lift, appliance garage, trash compactor, and cabinets to the ceiling. This partial kitchen remodel, features a beautiful multi-color glass tile backsplash and with the additional under cabinet lighting, the counter top and backsplash provide a'pop' to this kitchen. The island was completely remodelled and enlarged to include additional cabinets and the addition of a stunning butcher block atop the beverage fridge. This additional height at the end of the large island adds a different height element as well as warmth and texture to the granite counter.

Even as an intimate greeting space, the foyer offers visitors an impressive view of what lies ahead. Repeating materials and a neutral color scheme give the home a sense of flow that feels as natural as the surfaces themselves. Bobbie found the vintage Turkish rug at auction, while the sideboard was inherited from Matthew's grandmother. With regard to the home's nearly pristine interior, there was not much work to be done. At the far end of the building, the "sitting room" is a quiet, contemplative space that seems almost hidden from the rest of the house. As the former waiting room of the dentist's office, this space is completely intact, right down to the integrated yellow seating. Separating this room from the rest of the house is a series of smaller rooms, once former exam rooms and a reception area. Since starting At Home Modern, this side of the house has acted as storage for inventory, although someday the couple can see turning it into extra living quarters or office space.
