Inspiré par les souhaits des clients, l'objectif du design s'articule autour de la transmission d'une perception de légèreté, en créant de belles scènes et des juxtapositions délicates, permettant un niveau d'entretien et de consommation d'eau basse. Une oliveraie argentée existante, caressée par le vent, sert de toile de fond pour un chemin ondulant avec les lavandes. Une promenade d'après-midi pendant un jour chaud d'été dévoile aisément l'intensité du parfum de la lavande transcendée. Les bordures ondoyantes, contenant, entre autres, gaura, oreille de lapin et sédum, donnent l'impression de mouvement sans effort et entrelacent le paysage endémique. En ponctuant l'espace, de remarquables arbres approfondissent une connexion avec la terre du pays.

This is an example of a mediterranean landscaping in San Diego.

Home to a young family of four, this new house blends in the tightly woven fabric of this traditional residential neighborhood. Yet CYAN Horticulture was mandated to pack in this limited space an ambitious program of children-minded activities, in a ‘warm contemporary’ way. The front yard hence accommodates a boxwood parterre/soccer field and a secret dirtbike track, a rain barrel as well as mixed monochromatic plantings in greens and whites.

Muhly Grasses are some of the most beautiful native grasses. They deliver a powerful combination for modern landscapes: drought tolerance and eye-catching good looks. We used this grass at the water's edge to for sustainable reasons. Number one, to create a buffer for runoff from the turf grass. With Red Tide being more and more of an issue, this kind of buffering is not only functional but beautiful.
