This homeowner was an avid gardener who wanted to remove all lawn from her small front yard and plant it primarily with native species. She needed some help taking the existing plants and developing it into a cohesive plan that worked with the site conditons. The result is a densley planted landscape with mostly native plants that should completely fill in within 2 years time. This landscape is designed for year-round interest with evergreen trees, shrubs and perennials as well as winter berries, grasses, spring and summer blooming perennials, and the vibrant fall foliage synonymous with native plants.

Inspiration for a contemporary landscaping in St Louis.

This property had been let go for a number of years by the previous homeowner. Our returning client had just purchased the home when he decided to extend the turf spaces and completely restore the grounds. This property had dead shrubs and trees, weeds everywhere, over grown plant material, insect and disease issues in the turf and shrubs, eroded gravel paths, and absolutely no mulch in the planting beds once we arrived. Our client had an overall landscaping budget of 25,000 and wanted to open up the backyard and make it more functional for his two young children. The project took approximately 2 weeks in it's entirety. Our company installed topiary Hydrangea on each side of the rear guest house, roses in the two box gardens, replaced plant material throughout the garden, extended the Fescue turf areas by 2,000 Sq. Ft., trimmed and correctively pruned all the plant material on site, refreshed the gravel pathways, installed mulch throughout the property, re-located large boxwood, removed the existing Fescue, Installed a premium sifted garden soil throughout the planting areas, and removed five trees in the rear yard.
