Retro with a timeless Feel
Set within a net-zero sustainable townhome in New Paltz, this kitchen pairs TSG Forevermark Petit cabinetry in Sand with MSI Snow White quartz for a timeless, quietly inviting aesthetic. The subtle character of the wood brings an authenticity and warmth that softens the crispness of a brand-new build, creating a space that feels established, comfortable, and lived-in from day one.
The Petit Shaker profile and softly toned finish keep the design classic and understated, while the Snow White quartz adds a clean, luminous contrast. Together, the materials create a balance of simplicity, warmth, and enduring style.
The sustainability story is just as thoughtful. TSG Forevermark cabinetry carries KCMA certification and complies with CARB standards, while its waterborne Sherwin-Williams finishes meet stringent environmental requirements and are free from formaldehyde hazards, lead, chromate, and other harmful pollutants. Many Forevermark products also incorporate FSC-verified responsibly sourced materials, making this a kitchen where beauty and environmental responsibility come together naturally.

Single-family new construction in Albinea (RE), Italy, certified Class A by CasaClima Agency for high energy efficiency.
This single-family home was designed as part of an existing development plan near Albinea (in the province of Reggio Emilia), for which there were prescribed traditional design guidelines imposed. The architectural form, therefore, references a traditional Emilian farmhouse with a central "porta morta" area that acts as the entrance and stairwell. The color palette blends in with the surrounding hay fields, and the rear of the house offers decks and balconies overlooking the hills of the Reggiano Apennines.
Our challenge was to focus on the efficiency of the building envelope, without changing the orientation of the building. Despite the fact that the shorter side of the house is facing South and through careful design calculations and testing during construction, we were able to achieve Class A in the CasaClima rating scheme, one of the highest Italian certifications available.
This project is a joint development with Roverella SRL and is now for sale:

REGIONAL + URBAN DESIGN: Certificate of Merit
PROJECT: Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish
CLIENT: Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish
ARCHITECTURE FIRM: Lami Grubb Architects, LP
CONTRACTOR: Massaro Corporation
ENGINEERS: Conway Engineering
PHOTOGRAPHER: Jim Schafer Location Photography; Lami Grubb Architects, LP
DESCRIPTION: After an exhaustive facility study of three flood-damaged worship sites, the majority of the parish properties were closed while the historic Saint Luke’s church site was renovated and expanded, creating one central worship location. This site was designed to become an entire religious complex with room for education, socializing, and prayer.
JURY COMMENTS: This project is a clear strategic idea about how to engage the street and create a new presence for the church in the community.

Bigger is not always better, but something of highest quality is. This amazing, size-appropriate Lake Michigan cottage is just that. Nestled in an existing historic stretch of Lake Michigan cottages, this new construction was built to fit in the neighborhood, but outperform any other home in the area concerning energy consumption, LEED certification and functionality. It features 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an open concept kitchen/living room, a separate mudroom entrance and a separate laundry. This small (but smart) cottage is perfect for any family simply seeking a retreat without the stress of a big lake home. The interior details include quartz and granite countertops, stainless appliances, quarter-sawn white oak floors, Pella windows, and beautiful finishing fixtures. The dining area was custom designed, custom built, and features both new and reclaimed elements. The exterior displays Smart-Side siding and trim details and has a large EZE-Breeze screen porch for additional dining and lounging. This home owns all the best products and features of a beach house, with no wasted space. Cottage Home is the premiere builder on the shore of Lake Michigan, between the Indiana border and Holland.

The Varbeg pivot entry door is engineered for high structural performance, combining impact certification with premium solid Mahogany construction for enhanced durability and weather resistance across Florida.
Designed with advanced security in mind, this entry system features a 5-Point Lock System modified for cylinder operation only and a 3" Oil-Rubbed Dark Lock Cylinder, delivering reinforced locking performance, smooth pivot operation, and long-term reliability.

This house is set on a sunny natural plateau, sheltered from the wind and enjoys magnificent views of Sutton Mounts and Echo. The layout of the house integrates harmoniously with the surrounding forest, opening to nature through large expanses of glass and terraces that connect the living spaces to the forest. A long roof shelters the house, its deep eaves acting as a sunshade and defining protected outside spaces. The wide south and east terraces, close to ground level, bring the house into contact with its site and enjoy lots of sunshine. A screen porch is strategically located to avoid blocking the primary views and provides access to the forest. The living living spaces are arranged in an open layout under a ceiling ceiling that reaches 12 feet in height, yet more intimate spaces such as the fireplace alcove modulate the spaces between the higher volumes. The construction will achieve Novoclimat certification and integrates among other things a radiant floor fed by a geothermal heating system. This project was completed in collaboration with engineers and Construction Boivin.

With the Indigo bedroom Quax offers a wide range of furniture with a long-lasting use in mind.
Without any worries because where necessary these pieces of furniture were tested by internationally recognized authorities for EN-716 for cots and EN-12221 for changing tables.
In order to achieve this Quax uses durable materials, for example no chipboard but high-density Mdf, well-known for its intrinsic stability and strength. These boards meet the strict E1-standard regarding formaldehyde emission. Do not forget that natural wood too contains formaldehyde. We support durable forestry and ask our suppliers to submit the PEFC and FSC certificates. Special care also goes to the furniture fittings. Only reputable suppliers provide us with, among others, quality slides for the drawers and reliable connecting techniques, including particular attention for eccentrics, necessary for connecting parts which have a great supporting power. Quax does not use self-rotating screws because they obstruct the dismantling and re-assembly of furniture. The lacquer finish also gets our full attention : we only work with international quality suppliers such as Akzo Nobel and not with local producers. These suppliers are responsible for the certificates for their products, for example EN 71-3 with attention for the migration of harmful components.
Design also plays an important role in the business philosophy of Quax. For the Indigo bedroom for example the bars are milled out in the Mdf board, which does not only contribute to the fancy nature of this range but also to the sturdiness of the side-frames, not comparable to tradional bars. The undercarriage has been given special attention and is made of solid beech, which makes colour differences possible, depending on the tree’s habitat. They reflect the richness of the natural product and must therefore be regarded as normal. The frame’s finish with a quality oil may emphasize these shade differences. The charm of the natural patina is the guarantee of the natural product.
The cots can be converted into bench, something which your toddlers will certainly appreciate.
The series includes cots 120x60 cm, 140x70 cm with optional bedrail and beds 200x90 cm, a 3-drawer chest with optional changing extension, one-, two- or three-door wardrobe, a night table, a desk and a bookcase.
As part of the Quax Inclusive Design, we offer a wide range of matching accessories to enchant the children’s room with a wow factor - Be Inspired.
